Let me give you the real scoop on this bike shop. First, they know what theyre doing. So dont be hesitant about the services rendered. And they carry some decent brands that you wouldnt see at your traditional bike shop. That being said, the owner is just a cranky dood. Similarly to what others have said in previous reviews, the guy is just Mr. Grumpipants. He has no idea how to treat customers. And this message is for his son who also works in the shop: "Your dad is murdering the business reputation! You need to either stick him in the back of the shop away from the customers, or open up your own store. Because that guy is the true barrier from the store being successful. Trust me!" I went in there to get a basic part for my bike. I used to race bmx competitively, so I know my way around fixing it myself. I decided to pick up the part late, like 7:00 PM, removed a few parts out front of the shop so I could replace the part that was broken. And keep in mind the shop is located in a semi-ghetto area. We arent talking free valet parking here. I needed to borrow 2 tools and I got reprimanded how they dont let people work on bikes in the parking lot. And that they dont lend out tools. Begrudgingly they did lend me the tools, which I was ever so grateful, but the attitude was just uncalled for. Its unbelievable that shops like this can carry this type of attitude. Seeing how they are all closing their shops not being able to compete with the big box stores or even the online vendors. The only thing thats keeping good shops alive is great service and the promotion of a biking community that can depend on shops like this to do it right for local customers. This means not enforcing stupid rules about parking lot quick fixes for paying customers. It just blows my mind how these business owners think they can run their business while maintaining a healthy return customer base. Bottom line is.... dont be a dick and your bottom line will increase.

This review is for my dad that has been frequenting this bike shop for tune ups, upgrades, etc. My dad went in and upgraded his bike handle bar some time last year. He decided to sell the bike, took it back to the twins to have them put the original handle bar back on. He walked in, was quoted $20, agreed and left his bike for them to work on. Fast forward to the next day, he goes in and they charge him $57! He asks why he was quoted $20 and then charged $57 and the owners (father and son) RUDELY stated that its because the cables were short, needed more work and are charging more, so tough luck. IT WAS WORK THEY HAD DONE IN THE FIRST PLACE. So if anything, they were just fixing what they screwed up to begin with. They could have at least had the decency to call their customer and notify them of this issue, and let them know they would have to charge more for their work. Im reading older reviews and it looks like they are known to do this. Over charge for extra work they CLAIM they had to do. The "tough luck-pay or just leave your bike here" attitude is not something a business should have. My dad will be spread the word to all his cycle club members AND fellow cyclers he meets at meet ups to NOT GO TO TWINS BIKE SHOP.

I just felt I should comment here about my awful experience in this store!! A couple of weeks ago or so I visited this store for the first time, I had a flat tire and I was also interested in purchasing a new bike and very much looking to do business, the first employee that approached me was friendly and was trying to help me, but the second employee(Which I did not ask for his help!) was very unprofessional and would just butt in from time to time making rude remarks and was argumentative, he also had the audacity to call me a liar(This jerk had no idea what I was talking about!) I did not get the name of the employee, they need to learn to take ownership and treat customers a lot better in this place, I know its only a matter of time before this place goes out of business or they get hit with a major law suit!!! 0 out 5 stars, Im going to have a big smile on my face when I find out your store gets shut down!!! The great news is I ended up going down the street to Smiths cycles right afterwards and they had outstanding customer service, I ended up spending $1200 in their shop, I highly recommend them, Smiths cycles is an all around 5 Star Shop A+++++

I have been their steady and extremely satisfied customer for many years and even followed them from their previous shop. They are the best bike mechanics around and highly knowledgeable in all aspects of sales and service. This place is horrible to fix ur bike at especially if u have a good quality bike. Long story short I took my bike for a repair they coudnt repair it they wanted to charge me 3 times more from original quote they had my bike in pieces and told me if I didnt like it that I can take my bike elsewhere. So I them to just repair it so I can get the hell out of this clown shop when I get home and look at my bike I noticed the had severely scratched it. I wouldnt recommend this place even to my worst enemy please beware of this place....very unprofessional!!!!

The owner do not care about their customer. They look too depress people when i came to their shop. I did not get any good help. They shop used to be in a bigger place. They moved to tiny shop and looks like its about to close. I order for a couple of parts but was never ordered. They gave me a ran around. Dont waste yout money and time here. I bet you this shop looks like its going thru bankrupcy situation and it will be closed anytime now. Theyll take you money and loae your warranty. Becareful!! Where you put your investment.
