This is hands down the finest bike shop in all of the South Bay! I pulled a quality bike out of the basement after 10 years of no use; they cleaned it, tuned it, calibrated it, lubed it, changed the tires, and installed a handful of accessories for a very reasonable price, with an ONE DAY turnaround. It is better than new. They took the time to fully describe and compare all of the accessories I was interested in and did not try to sell me anything I did not need or want. They also have dozens of new single and multiple gear bikes for sale on site as well as tons of accessories - there is an entire wall of helmets! Oh, and they offer a handful of cool freebies! (And finally, Im a gray-haired old lady, and the staff treated me exactly like every other customer!).

Having read positive reviews of Motion Cycle it was where I pointed my aging single speed cruiser when it needed a tune-up. The employee that helped me couldnt have been more friendly, helpful & professional. In the end, as my time in the area is limited and I didnt want to give up a few days of bikjng while my bike was tuned up, I traded it in and bought a new cruiser. The trade-in value was very fair and I am pleased with the cruiser I purchased. Now I am going to end this review for a ride on The Strand. Thank you Motion Cycle.

im new to hermosa beach from santa monica. after 14 years in SAMO my awesome cruiser was stolen (yes, it was locked up); this was my sign to move to HB; i decided to wait to get a new cruiser until i got settled in south bay and boy am i glad i did! what a great small home-town shop; great prices, great bikes and great service. no pressure sale or anything. ill certainly be going back for tune-ups and future biking needs...PLUS right next door to the NEW TRADER JOES. Thanks guys!

I recently had them order the best bike Id ever purchase and I was extremely impressed with how quick my bike came in and they even assembled it the SAME DAY it came in! I got called up 3 days after i made the order and I am pleased to say that Motion Bicycle has the friendliest most knowledgeable staff you could ask for. I was in need of a crank forward bike and they knew exactly what I was looking for . They adjusted my new bike to my body and made sure I could comfortably ride it. I also purchased a lifetime turn-up ... I left the store feeling more than satisfied with my purchase and my experience ... They even threw in some streamers which I just love! The staff here are great! I came in looking for a bike (knowing nothing about bikes) and thought I would feel intimidated. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a staff member. He showed me around and even let me test ride some bicycles. Left with a cool Linus bike and a U-Lock. Recommend to anyone who is looking for a bike. I will be back for my tune-up!

This is a nice shop. They have sweet bikes and cool accessories. Staff is very helpful. Mike knows his stuff. They also have rentals by the hour or the day. Be careful when leaving their parking lot as cross traffic is difficult to gauge and pays no attention to cars coming out of the lot, mostly due to the curve of the street.

Having a genuinely friendly staff is unique in the bike shop world. The Motion staff obviously really care about their bikes, the biking world and their customers.
