Ok so i have had so many just horrible experiences at The Game Exchange that I literally had to update the review. On the most recent poor customer service Ive experienced from this small business I went in and the shop owner said he had received cards as a trade in and he thought I would be interested in some so I looked at the cards and found several that I like and like any customer I decided I would look at the place I normally buy cards online just to see how competitive game exchange prices are and to my disbelief the only card that I looked up the owner was asking a smidgen over double face value I told him that I would be fine paying a dollar over face value but not double he decided to start arguing with me and dictated that the prices are set on the tag on the card blah blah blah Money Talks bull crap walks that was about 2 weeks ago I went in today to go and apologize for being rude on my end as well and he literally argued with me over the incident for 15 minutes while he had about 4 customers and his shop he pretty much told me I should have just moved on to the next card and I told him what if the next card or even the next five cards that I priced it to see how competitive his prices are or double why would I pay double as a customer and turn around. If I could afford to pay people to avoid this place I literally would if I could give it a negative Stars I would I wouldnt even recommend my enemies to shop here its that bad. Hope this helped anyone avoid spending their hard earned cash at such a pathetic excuse of a merchants store.

The guy running the place is awesome and its the type of small video game store that I love to visit. Easy to get good value for what you trade in and a beautiful mix of small, obscure and/or classic gaming stuff thats fun to scourge through accompanied by a lot of the later (and often more affordable than other stores) gaming consoles. Would definitely recommend this place! :)

Awesome retro shop. I was vacationing down in Pismo and I had to get my retro fix. I looked up the game exchange and decided to check out the store. They had all kinds of cool stuff , and best of all to me was the prices were cheaper then ebay a rare site for some game stores. Honest pricing is what sold me.

Super Understanding Guy. Let me Put down a partial payment for a game system, and it turned out that i couldnt finish the deal due to some financial Problems and he was able to work with me. Super cool in my opinion. will definitely be going back to this shop!

Everythings cool, and its a great way to make fast money. But the guy reeeallly needs to work on his people skills. I feel uncomfortable everytime i go in there and hes so rude. Also he just hired this chick who is 4 times as rude as him

Great place to trade games, just good everything. One problem, got a game(Morrowind) that already had the cd key entered. Good place to go, just dont go for the pc games that need steam.

Bought a game, and it had already used cd key, so the game doesnt work. called them for a solution, they told me to search google for some fake cd key...

This place is awesome! Its not ripoff like gamestop where if you bring in like 5 games you get 5 cents. I will always go here for the great prices

This place does suck. Dont recommend preodering any games for this guy. Preordered a game to get limited edition and just gives me regular copy.
