I went to this UPS store for the first time last night (2/18/2010) to ship a pre-paid package, and to open a mailbox with them since I just moved to the area. The old guy crushed my shipping box before even ask me whats the content. Hes trying to make a sale for $3 packaging materials and the box. His claim was that my package will not stay intact once he put 50 pounds on top of it. Im using a giant Amazon box to return an item. The box was in excellent condition, its the exact same box that was shipped to me, and packing materials were same as I received it. I need to pay for return shipping, so I had already pre-paid shipping fee and printed the label. Since both box and the label were damaged by that guy, I had to drag the box back to my car, go home to trying to find another giant box to package it, and also need to figure out how to re-print the pre-paid shipping label!! Had I had anything fragile in the box, needless to mention it would be a nightmare. I believe that the package is in excellent condition, definitely not any worse than most of our day-to-day incoming packages. He may have the right to decline to ship my package, however broke my stuff without even discuss with me first is crazy! I will not ever come back again, and suggest you to stay away!

Earlier today, I went in to the store to send a 2lb 3x2x1ft box to Japan, and was told it would cost $120 for the standard UPS international service. I said that was too expensive and told the sales person I was going elsewhere. At that point he offered me USPS Express Mail for $100. I asked whether that was the "same" as USPS, and the sales person looked at me like I was stupid, and said yes. I took this to mean that it was the same service and price, so I went ahead and paid. As I was walking back to my car, I realized that it made no sense that UPS would offer a competitors service at the same cost, so I went back and specifically asked whether it was the "same price", and was told the prices were "about the same". After further questions, I was told there was "about" a 15% markup. So I asked to cancel the shipment and get a refund, but was told the postage had already been placed and it was too late (at this point about 2 minutes had elapsed since my purchase). I complained to the branch owner to no avail, so then drove to the USPS branch about 2 miles away and found out their Express Mail shipping rate to Japan was about $38.

I took my prepaid UPS label and box for a merchandise return. The person at the counter told that it would be $3. I thought I mis-heard him and pointed out that it was a prepaid label. He said "Yes - but I have to fill and tape it". I said that I got the parcel originally from UPS and there was no filling on it. At that point, he said - "Well, I am going to charge atleast $1 for taping it". Not only was I offended by the nickel and diming, but also got irritated with his pompous talk about "Why should I provide tape?". I took it to a different UPS store where this process took 5 mins without any tacky fees - the way it should be!

Why this store is still running? I went there to ship a UPS ground service to Miami for a package about 7 lbs. They charged me $38. Then a month later, I went to another UPS store to send a 9 lbs package to Denver. I intentionally asked them to check the rate to Miami and was told $24 by UPS ground. At that point, I know I was scammed by the prior store. Later, I checked their ratings online and found it is a total crap. An outrageously greedy UPS store like this is an insult not only to customers but also to UPS brand name!!!

Wish I could give zero stars that is how bad this place is. I randomly called them to inquire about pink cardstock paper at which point they said no they dont carry it. Then I thought it was really nice because I got a call right back saying, oh actually I do have it. Then they asked how many I needed because they only have 200 in stock. I needed far less then that so I thought it was perfect. Turns out they only had 85 and rather then count the sheets they charged an estimate based on weight. What a joke.

For years I have always gone to this UPS Store to drop off packages, notary service, printing etc. for my business. They have friendly, competent staff, and always get the job done. This is a good, reliable place for your business needs.

They can scan documents and email them for U. Notary here. Dont just leave UR package unsealed. Make sure U watch the lady seal it and put the shipping label on it. Good place to make photocopies and send packages.

I needed to send a fax yesterday. Two faxes for a total of 7 pages and two cover pages which were also charged for a total of $18.00. For a much cheaper price and for a friendly service, go to Staples.

Much more expensive than FED EX and other stores. All they are interested is to sell you the most expensive things in the store first and hide the fact there are less expensive options.
