Im surprised at how much I like this place. I usually dont like dollar stores or Asian junk, but my girlfriend wanted to go in because she loves Japanese things and thought it was cute. They actually have a surprisingly decent selection of odds and ends. Ive ended up buying a dozen or so things that are hard to find anywhere else (little organizer boxes, for example). Its worth going if you want some cheap plastic widgets.

日本の雑貨は大体ここで手に入ります。最高に便利です。チンするご飯などのインスタント食品も手に入るのでかなり助かります。こことTokyo Fish Marketがあるので、バークレーは日本人にとって住みやすい街になっている気がします

Great Place to Get Kitchenware and More Daiso is a great place for inexpensive stuff. Happy to find this familiar store here in Berkeley. Was able to find some mugs to replace the paper cups our hotel is providing, as well as forks, spoons and the like too. Of course, the shop range goes beyond kitchenware to household items too. Great place to get essentials. Just be discerning and not over purchase.

Grab your $1.50 and head over tot the Daiso store where everything is $1.50! Love this location, just off campus, packed with Asian students getting their fix of imported food, pantry items, stationary goods, etc. Best place to stock up on kitchen ware in the area, its well made and cheap! A smaller version of the huge store in Japantown SF, there are several locations throughout California.

Fun place to shop for odds and ends. E.G., household items, for kitchen, bath, make-up, hygiene items for males and females, College students oriented. Most items are $1.50 some are more. Street parking available but limited access. Child friendly. Handicap accessible. Very clean and organized. Friendly staff.

A huge variety of items all for extremely cheap, and better quality than in American dollar stores. Only caveat is that they dont carry the best items (like Bulldog Tonkatsu sauce, Nishiki rice, etc.) - for those, youll have to go J-town express.

Very cute little shop! I stopped in while visiting the Bay Area after being away for many years. This was a cute addition to Telegraph Ave! Very affordable and loads of stuff I cant find back home in FL.

Place has some great steals! Got some nice quality lunch boxes for $3-4. The snacks and food is kind of expensive though so beware. Most of the stuff here is just for $1.50 unless noted otherwise.

Pro - The best place for everyday supplies and Japanese snacks for students with limited budget. Con - Waiting line is quite long from time to time, probably due to slow credit card reader.

Best dollar store EVER. And filled with fun crazy Japanese stuff. I recommend the red bean buns. But if you need to fill your dorm room with cheap well made stuff, start here.

I am in love with this store. Lots of great things for $1.50, a few things that are just above ($3-$10, at most). Not as big as the Japantown location, but good enough for a fix.

Always check Daiso first before looking elsewhere for housewares, travel toiletries containers, school supplies.... Lots of great stuff in here! And the prices are unbeatable.

A lot of interesting things were there. I wish I had more time to look. It was a quick stop. I bought something else while I was there because everything is 1.50. Lol

Mediocre selection of goods compared with Daiso in Japan. Similarly cheap and cheap quality of goods, but great if youre looking for a quick gag gift.

Pretty much just like the stores in Japan. Japenrs soft drinks and bottled tea and coffee are much better priced than in most stores here.
