This store represents to me the reason that people should go into business in the first place. Its a family run company and the love of animals that so obviously forms part of the backbone of their lives has been faithfully transmitted to each new generation that arrives, contributing to a palpable sense of harmony and service that fills the store. Mama Janet is on the short list of favorite local business owners of just about everyone I know, and son-in-law Billy (a veteran of the War On Terror with the Marine Corps) is always quick to welcome you by name as soon as you arrive, no matter how hard at work he might be. The rest of the family is no less special, and then you have all the friendly critters that have free roam of the grounds to keep you company (and offer first-person testimonials on the products) as you shop, making each visit feel more like a respite from real life than an exercise in capitalism. Tl;dr: The prices are low, the people are amazing, their selection is remarkable, and youd be a fool to shop anywhere else for pet or livestock products on the Mendocino Coast.

Best prices and selection on the coast. Helpful staff that will carry out and load everything you purchase. Helpful and informative. Pretty much anything that you might need for any animal that you might keep from pets to livestock.
