This Best Buy is about 15-20 mins away from me. I decided to buy a Chromecast, and since I was already on their website, purchased it there with in-store pickup thinking it would be ready for me at the counter when I got there. Apparently, I was wrong. About 15 minutes after checking out on the website, I get an email saying "Weve received your order, but please wait to pick up", they were "verifying stock" and it would take up to 45 minutes for them to bring the product up to the counter, and I would receive another email when it was ready. Over an hour later, I canceled the order through the website and drove down to the store. I counted 6 employees and two customers, including myself. They werent busy whatsoever. I walked to the back of the store where the media streaming devices were, and grabbed one of the 17 Chromecasts sitting on the shelf (yes, I counted) and brought it up to the register. Took me all of about a minute to do that. Not sure why the store employees couldnt get that done within an hour. The only reason theyre getting two stars at this point is because the cashier was friendly, and didnt try to sell me a ridiculous replacement plan on my $35 item.

I so wanted to give a good review as my in-store experience was AMAZING, but it was the delivery process, re-delivery process and lack of communication or call backs from in-store employees that have ruined it for me. Quick story: I purchased a dishwasher in store and employee was extremely helpful. 3 days later they came to deliver and reazlied the unit was damaged. They promised to come back 3 days later but I never recd a call, email, etc. I called in store and they said they would call me back when they found out what happened. 2 days went by and no call so I called the store again. He finally put me in contact with the delivery service who said they would come out in 3 days. 3 days later and the delivery company missed the 4 hour window provided and told me they would be there later in the day. I couldnt stay at home and continue to miss work so I told them NO WAY. I called the store to figure out when they can re-deliver (3rd attempt) and Chris in Applicances said he would call me back -- which again, never happened! Now, its been 1 month since I ordered the dishwaher in-store order and STILL NO DISHWASHER!!

I had a funny feeling when I read all the negative reviews, but I ordered my tv anyway. The salesman was fine, the other store personnel were fine. They were friendly, informative, not pushy. They confirmed delivery time the night before - sometime between 8:30 am and 10:30 am, the call-center said. For hook-up and haul away of the old tv. 10:30 came and went. Giving them a cushion because of summer and Race track traffic, I called at 11:00 to find out how much longer it might be. Thats when they told me oh no no - that tv is on backorder. Its not going to be delivered today. Excuse me? Someone called to be sure Id be home between 8:30 and 10:30... This is inexcusable. A case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. Ill probably go elsewhere in the future if this is how Best Buy does business.

Employees are not knowledgeable about the products. Ive been in there three times this week trying to find a USB Wifi adapter that is compatible with Mac OS x. Every time I go in they sell me a different product that they promise is compatible with Mac, even though on the box it says its not. Im still in the same situation as I was before I went to Best Buy except Ive wasted an enormous amount of time driving back and forth to the store and trying to get a PC product to work with a Mac. I dont even want to think about the amount of business that Ive lost during this time. If youre having issues with something dont rely on the employees of this store to give you correct information.

They dont stand behind their product and their service is horrible. I bought a $2500 gaming PC from them. After a month, I had issues so I brought it in to their store for service. They put it under someone elses name and lost my computer so it took me multiple trips to the store to even locate my computer. After that got sorted out and many weeks of repairs, it still had the same issue. I brought it back again and they had to send it out for a new mother board. Many hours of sitting on hold, the manager was absolutely no help at all. She was rude and had no power to do anything. Im still waiting for my computer to arrive. Dont buy anything here.

Some yelped on the company, some yelped on this location, others the products they sell. I have opinions about all of them. Best Buy as a company is pretty big, they have everything for the person who doesnt buy things online. This location is kinda new, very small and is usually a mad house. They dont stock everything the larger locations do, but theyll transfer things for free or ship it free/cheap if they keep you waiting. As far as the products they sell everything so youre going to get a mixed bag from good to bad. Some they stand behind others they really dont.

I wanted to spend a good $500 on a stereo and install on my van....but after browsing for 20 minutes in the automotive sound area and looking for help, we gave up. The store was void of customers and apparently employees as well. One fella did walk past us and around a corner so fast, burger and soda in tow, we didnt have time to say a word....no eye contact on his part. I spend so much money in this store.....seriously.....tho the one in Chico and the one in Palm Desert. Those guys treat a customer right. NOT ENCINITAS. Not going back.

I called this Best Buy in Encinitas to get ask about getting my PS3 fixed. They said they could not fix it. I asked if they knew of a place they could and they were intentionally unhelpful and said they dont know of any place that fixes them. I called GameStop and they immediately gave me the names of two (2) places that could help. I doubt the Geek Squad at Best Buy Encinitas didnt know the same information. I feel like they just did not want to help me because they were not going to make any money off of me. Very poor effort.

I needed a mobile phone charger-adapter for usb-c connector on my Google phone and somebody finally said they would help me find it. The first guy didnt though, only said I could not open the box on the $71 stuff I thought might work to see for sure while I was still in the store. I could only buy it and then return it later though for an in store credit. Thanks (not). The 2nd guy was very helpful and we opened the box together. It turned out to be what I needed. My store is the average of two sales clerks assistance.
