PURCHASED OUR 2015 OUTBACK AT LASHERS SUBARU in ELK GROVE, CA . I Can Honestly Say; This was the SINGLE WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE WEVE EVER HAD. LASHERS ELK GROVE SUBARU has lost our trust, and referrals! Additionally, Subaru of North America has Lost Our Fidelity to the Subaru Brand! When our car was totaled we needed a new car right away. My husband wanted a Toyota! I insisted on a Subaru Outback and thought Lashers Elk Grove would be the best option locally to purchase a new 2015 Outback. My husband wanted me to be happy, So he agreed. We bought a 2015 Outback Premium from Lashers Elk Grove Subaru. Imagine our surprise after the purchase when we discovered it wasnt the car I test drove, In fact, the car wed purchased hadnt even been on the lot. Id test driven a 2015 Green premium Outback 4 days prior. The salesman called and made me an offer, describing the Green Subaru Outback Premium..without disclosing that he was making us an offer to purchase a Different Vehicle! He then moved the car Id driven off the lot, transferred in another Green Premium Outback from Out-of State..and parked it exactly where the one Id driven had been parked. Same Color, Same options. Almost! But higher mileage and a Different vehicle entirely!! I didnt realize it until we were about to head home and glancing in the back seat noticed a stain and dog fur! We feel we were deceived by the salesman and the Dealership refused to accept responsibility for the salesmans actions. I will also add that shortly after our purchase the salesman was "no longer with the dealership". I am beyond disgusted! Instead of feeling excited and happy with our New Outback. I dont trust that our vehicle is safe. With 25,000 miles on it.. It runs rough, has an incredible amount of wind noise. gets really poor gas mileage, has had repeated alignments and has had 2 internal service bulletins. Im going to add that the day after we purchased the 2015 Subaru Outback Premium, after Id realized it was a different vehicle I went in to Elk Grove Subaru and spoke with David Lang the Sales manager, I explained what happened. He asked Michael Kim the salesman if Id test driven a different car then the one wed ended up purchasing. the salesman finally admitted we had. David Lang turned to me and said "On behalf of the dealership I wont take the car back. You should have known it was a different car." It is a horrible feeling when you spend 30,000$ and feel like youve stepped in Dog Sh*#. Oh, the Irony. We ARENT feeling The Love! Never Again.

Bruce Cunningham is the ideal salesperson in my mind! If I could have taken him home with me and my new car I would have. Bruce was extremely responsive and answered all of my rather silly questions about every inch of the car. He worked to make sure I was bought to tears when I saw my car in front of the dealership. I have never been treated so well by a person, while navigating the process of leasing a car. I have not had to deal with car dealerships or car payments in quite a long time.- 15 years to be exact! My Camry had made me feel safe for the last 15 years, so it was very heartbreaking for me when it finally gave out and couldnt go anymore. I decided I was looking for a change and decided to go test out a Subaru. I was looking for a car that could give me that same feeling of being safe and having comfort without costing me a fortune in the process. I test drove a Subaru Legacy at a local dealership and was treated more like a nuisance by the dealer than someone who was looking to spend money. This is was a horrible set-back in the process for me as I was already apprehensive about going to dealerships. I searched for a Subaru dealership that had the Legacy with all the safety features I was looking for and was very blessed to stumble upon Elk Grove Subaru- but more importantly Bruce Cunningham. If you dont believe me, just know that I drove 2+ hours in traffic just to get my car from Bruce and Elk Grove Subaru because the dealership treats people that well. You can never go wrong working with Bruce and the rest of the team. Thank you Elk Grove Subaru for making me smile so big my cheeks hurt the next morning.

Im editing my review. Originally I gave them 5 stars because I loved the used car I bought and the whole deal was relatively painless. My salesman, ROD, was great! JEREMY in the finance department flat-out tried to rip me off and DAVE, the supposed Sales Mgr tried to defend him. The fact that Jeremy is probably still employed there tells me everything I need to know about how Lasher Subaru conducts business. Rod had told me the used car I was buying had a one month/1000 mile warranty and I saw the Buyer Guide in the window that confirmed that. First thing Jeremy told me in the finance office was that the car was being sold "as-is". I corrected him and he had Rod come in with the Buyer Guide paper from the car that showed 1 mo/1000 mi warranty. We finished our business, Jeremy handed me a folder w/ all of my paperwork and I went on my way. 6 days later, my check engine light went on. I called the service department and opened my folder to get my warranty and saw that JEREMY had switched the paperwork and put one that said "as-is" in my folder. I took the car in this morning for a diagnostic and to talk to DAVE who tried to play it all off like an honest mistake on Jeremys part. Nope!! It wasnt a mistake at all. Jeremy purposefully switched the Buyers Guides AND typed in "as-is" language on the other paperwork. Somehow Dave had a copy of the Buyers Guide that I signed. Which he gave me - and they did not charge me for the repairs (car needed a new catalytic converter!!). If you find a good deal at Lasher Subaru, go for it. But MAKE SURE you check all of your paperwork carefully before you leave the place!!

I came to Elk Grove Subaru just to test drive cars. I was expecting to sell the car I came to the dealership to a private party (a 2007 Pontiac G6) in the next few weeks and use the sale money towards a down payment on a purchase or lease. Tareq Kabbani let me take an Impreza and a white Legacy Premium with EyeSight on long test drives. I fell in love with the Legacy right away, but I was curious if they had a darker color. Tareq checked stock and found that they had a Legacy in dark grey with the same equipment as the white one in stock. He could tell that I really liked the car, so he brought out his manager (David Deleon) who offered to evaluate MY car for trade in. My husband and I agreed that it couldnt hurt to do so, so we let him evaluate it. Afterwards, he and Tareq sat down with us and told us that they would pay $2000. I told them that we were looking to sell it at $3000-$3300. We went over the numbers for the Legacy and talked more about my possible trade in. David went back to his general manager who added another $500 to my trade in, making it $2500. The deal they gave me on both the trade in and the Legacy ended up being way too good to miss out on, so I ended up leaving the dealership in my new Legacy. Both Tareq and David had the best customer service the entire time. They were completely honest about everything the entire time and did everything in their power to get me a good deal on leasing the 2016 Legacy. I recommend that anybody who is shopping for a vehicle go to Elk Grove Subaru and ask for Tareq!
