THERE ARE TWO TRIUMPH MOTORCYCLE DEALERS IN SAC/SJ VALLEY I just bought my 3rd modern Triumph,a 1700cc Thunderbird Storm from Elk Grove Power Sports (EGPS) down at Grant Line and Hwy 99. I needed some good luck, I had just wrecked The Beast, my 2011 Rocket III. This EGPS vehicle transaction--bike, truck-or car--was the best Ive been through in 40 something years of riding using customer service as the metric to measure against. First, if you didnt already know, they sell Triumphs, lots of them, down in Elk Grove. I didnt know that. My insurance agent had to tell me they were there. (Pump up the advertising guys). For twelve years Id been going to Auburn Blvd & Roseville and more than a little frustrated by the monopoly and lack of competition. When youre "it", you get taken for granted. Dont get me wrong, the wrenchers are excellent on every line they sell. And Jeff and Tim sincerely want to make sure your transaction went smoothly and you were overall satisfied. But their follow up is always too little and too late. They cant follow their entire staff around all day, all whom act as if youre invisible or worse unless its a new BMW or BMW accessory youre interested in or picking up. That attitude permeates the place. From the moment I stepped into EGPS I could tell this would be different. I was cordially greeted by Sales then left alone, to gaze at row after row after row of built up Triumphs (and some land, sea, and snow stuff Im not into, except maybe the full-size Danica Patrick cut-out (which I tried, but couldnt negotiate away). Really, if they dont have your color or model on the floor, its probably in their warehouse next door. Or, like me, had to wait 5 days to get EXACTLY what I wanted, even at the discounted sales price from the model on the floor. The turnaround time, the assembly, and the matching sales price, THAT never happened in Citrus Heights or Roseville. The Parts guys know their stuff too, whats compatible and what wont work. If they dont, theyre real quick to call the OEM or after market seller. Hint: Check out Clearwater accessory riding lamps, made or assembled in this area. These are awesome if you want to be seen. They make over-riding your lights nearly impossible too. Finally, Ive hit one deer and I want to keep it that way the best I can. Service? Over-the-top. They tore my front end apart immediately when we couldnt figure out a significant factory deceleration wobble. They gave me lots of attention, met their deadlines, and called me along the way to apprise me of the status and if any delays might be in the works. I saw some negative reviews about service here and that just isnt true at all. At least on Triumphs. These mechanics and techs are troubleshooters, know their craft, treat their customer with respect, and pull out all the stops to make things right. And they made this fix absolutely right, to MY satisfaction. So from front door to back and in between; Thank You Ryan, Jeremiah, Devon and crew, and especially Forrest. Glad I found and bought at EGPS. I finally have a choice.

Well, I dont know if its the way I look or what, But I rode in, and was coming in to possibly purchase a new bike. Ive already got two, and was looking for a third, that I have been debating about for awhile. Its between a KTM and an Aprilia. Anyway, I had decided I wanted to ride the Ape, since it was most likely going to be my next purchase. So I walk in, am greeted by the guy at the front desk, he says hello, and then thats all. Fair enough, I continue to walk to the bikes, and stop to look at the RSV4s. I want the factoy model, but wanted to make sure it was worth the extra price. I do my research, so I know what the differences are. Seeing them in person is a different story than online. So, Ive got my mind made up, factory it is. I then stand next to the two bikes, that are right next to each other, for no less than 15 minutes. Not one single person came to help, or asked if I had any questions. I looked around several times, and saw no one but the guys in parts, who were helping customers. so after another 10 min of trying to find someone, I left. looks like Ill be picking up a RSV from someone else. two stars for a great bike selection. thats as far as i can comment on. sales, where were you?

I called to check availability of tire before driving 25 miles. Parts salesman lied about having the tire I called about. After driving all the way there and needing a tire. I ended up buying a different tire not as good as tire I inquired about. The salesman was going to give me a real "good deal, discount for his mistake" He discounted tire $12 about 6% off their normal price. He said that was their cost. No way!!! That was 2nd lie! Then service! Had the tire mounted and balanced it looked like a kindergartner mounted and balanced it. They scratched my wheel, put 4-1ounce weights on my spokes! That is a 1/4 pound!! Way beyond specs. I should have looked at the wheel with the service manager when I dropped it off, verified there were no scratches. Costly mistake, live and learn. I didnt notice the 4-1oz. weights until I got home. I immediately static balanced, and guess what, yes thats right the 4-1oz. weights dropped to the bottom every time. Their shop rate is between $126-130/hr. RIDICULOUS! I will not go back to Elk Grove Powersports.

My 2000 Honda Sabre clutch cable broke on my way to work one day. I had the bike towed to Elk Grove Power Sports because it was the nearest motorcycle shop. From the first moment that I walked in to the service department and to when picked up the bike, I felt appreciated. They replaced the clutch cable, replaced the tires, and oil change. They kept me posted of the maintenance along the way. They also worked on a oil leak that I requested to be looked into. But when I took it home, the bike still had the oil leak. I took it back and they went beyond trying to fix the leak. They figured what it was but they would had to pull the engine, which would have cost a lot money. They suggested that I put my money towards a new bike because of the amount of miles the bike has, which 101,000 miles. They added a fluid to try to seal the leak. The bike is running like a champion, even though it still has the slow leak. The two times that I had the bike in the shop, they have washed it. I will be taking my bike back when I need maintenance.

Sales: Bought my Scooter here, super friendly, they made sure i got all eligible discounts (and there were a lot) and were quite fast with the paperwork. Let me test ride once the credit check was done. Parts: As a knowledgeable and skilled mechanic, Ive been pleased with the pricing in the parts department. They are equal to or cheaper than the internet stores. (For Aprilia parts). The parts department isnt the greatest over the phone, as Ive had a few bad experiences with no return calls, terminally on hold, etc. This is why the 4 star rating instead of 5. If you go inside and deal with the parts department they are AWESOME, NO complaints with them. Shop: The guys in the shop are always really helpful when I need help on a specific repair that requires special tools, etc. Overall, I really have no complaints like some of these other poor reviews. Sometimes I really feel like people just expect the world handed to them on a platter. EG PowerSports has a pretty good team. Keep it up.
