I have been a Staples customer for over 12 years, and have preferred their store for office supply / AV equipment, etc. That may change now. I had a horrible experience at the Staples store on 6816 Katella Ave in Cypress, CA (LA area). Store is clean, I found what I needed with minimal difficulty. Then I got to checkout. The machine would not accept my MasterCard. The clerk said it was a card problem. I objected - it was a brand new card - but I was easy going and tried a different card. THAT card had an error reading also. I said that was not possible. The clerk just shrugged and said he did not know what to do - "maybe another card." He was absolutely NO help and clearly did not care about any resolution. I made it a point to thank him for No help and left the store. I suspect the problem was the register or, more likely the most common problem - OE (Operator Error!) I went across the street to Target - found everything I needed, the people were actually friendly - imagine! My days at Staples may well be numbered.

Maybe you guys should hire competent employees that give good service, and maybe you guys wont lose so much business to Best Buy. This Staples is horrible and this isnt my first experience with their terrible quality. I bought one desktop and one laptop from this store on seperate occasions, both computers had defects with them. On the desktop the fan broke after a months use and it came from the damn box! My second experience, my laptops battery would not hold a charge after 3 weeks of slight use. All I did was install Microsoft word for god sake...then when I went to get it replaced the tech guy just told me what I already knew, "yeah, its the battery." And gave me the number to the Toshiba help line. When I called, the people on the phone told me to take it to the store I bought it from....Overall Im exceedingly dissatisfied with my experiences with this Staples store.

Ridiculous hours. Stopped by on a Sunday to buy a micro USB cable, and the doors were locked (despite people inside). Some employee pointed to the sign showing the hours, and that they close at 6. I looked at my phone, it was 6:01. Who the hell closes a store at 6pm? Wont be going back anytime soon, the Target across the street was sufficient.

Michael was very knowledgeable and informative on the computers i was looking at. The guy at the print center was kinda of a Dick. He kept telling me I had to use my credit card to make a .57 cent copy. Some of there prices were a bit high...

They had everything I needed. It was easy to find everything and what I couldnt find the store staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about pointing me in the right direction.
