I keep making the mistake of going to this store and I really have to learn NOT to go in there! Its mostly a standard Vons store and I have no complaints about most of it. But the bakery is often under-stocked. Youll go there hoping for fresh bread or donuts or something and theres very little or nothing on the shelves. However, my main problem with this store is the checkout process. Generally theres only ONE lane open, the one at the far end opposite the customer service desk. This is supposed to be the fast lane, like 10 or 15 items or fewer but of course, as its the only one open, you get people with cart loads of stuff going through there. Today, a guy was in the front and was being served but then the cashier disappeared. The woman in front of me had like 30 items on the belt. After two minutes of the cashier being totally AWOL, I dumped my stuff and walked out, had to go to the Pavilions on Platt Ave instead as theres not another one any closer than that. This is the second time in two visits its taken for ever to get out of there. Last time I had no choice but to stick it out, this time, since they didnt have some of what I came there for, I just took off out of there. I will do my best to NOT come here again!

Stop pushing my husband to death!!! If you dont - I will file a lawsuit. Poor man almost died twice and he is successfully recovering from an addiction. But I never knew until recently that when he comes to this Vons to buy food they are trying to push liquor to him covering it up with a "good customer service", trying to please their constant customers. We were standing in line with products on the counter when the previous customer hasnt even left yet and the girl named Sheree is already asking the attendant to bring a liquor bottle and to my husband : "which one you want honey?". I WAS SHOCKED LOOKING AT IT, and she is also winking at him. He himself was confused as he never asked for it and never smiled, CAUSE ITS NOT FUNNY. Its a matter of life and death and I dont think by being overfriendly this way and trying to increase your sales youre going to increase your minimum wage. So, stop doing that, nobody is asking!!! Just do your job! Her comment was that she has a good customer service with him. Well, I have life with him and Im helping him to fight for his health and your service sucks to me!

Slowest check out in the entire world. Literally get some new employees or add a self check out line. Your store is like two blocks from my place, but Im tempted every time to drive an extra five minutes to the Ralphs just so I dont have to wait in your horrible lines. Ok, so you have a slow check out. The one thing you may never blame it on is the baggers. The the whole bagging situation might actually pi$$ me off more than waiting in line for a half hour. I swear to god it looks like it pains your baggers to ask if I need bags. I have 150 items. Yes I need bags, idiot. Then they try to stuff 50 items in one bag and put the rest bagless in the cart. Does it look like I have a hundred f**cking hands? No, just bag it all up. I dont care if I have to spend a full dollar on ten bags, Im trying to carry my groceries up three flights of stairs, the last thing I want to do is spend an hour running up and down to make sure I can feed me and my family. Truly figure it out you worthless company.

Slow and high prices...have to buy more than one item to get deal...prices deceiving in wrong spot ....bar codes do not match sale items..some.old sale price not taken down ...you found out after you go home that it was not on sale...asking you to donate for this or that...vons should get a cardboard sign...i would like my shopping to be free from some one asking for money in a loud voice...This makes me feel uncomfortable and the cashier when I ask whats vons giving and they dont know.....why should I spend my money to feel uncomfortable.? At vons to be fair other stores do the same and I try to not shop thier also....high turn over of managers and staff at store i shop at...still recovering from the union walk out years ago....i use to know the staff.....pointers when you ask were item is....moving items around all the time....so your always looking for something....chill bean not with the beans ...why? Low on sale items or they run out.have to buy 3 but they only have two.. ect

Very helpful staff. Lots of parking. Fabulous Deli and bakery. Mattress store well laid out lots of selections big produce area great floral department absolutely fabulous they also have a Cardpool and Coinstar machines your gift cards there. The bathrooms are clean lines and right in the front of the store. How do I stacious eating area near the service deli lots of fresh and prepared selections theyre both hot and cold and they also offer a beverage fountain Rick free refills. Very reminiscent of a Pavilions yet at the Vons prices. They are also on a major Corner easy to see easy to get in and out and they have long hours theyre open late!

I usually only stop in here to visit the Starbucks they have inside, but on the rare instances I dont want to buy coffee... I come here to buy coffee creamer after work. They always seem to be busy, with a long check out line and only one person taking cash and bagging items. I must have bad luck because I swear 80% of the time I run in hoping for a quick grab and go. Instead I spend nearly 15 mins in this store, with 12 of them standing in line. Ugh! The store is well kept and usually very clean, but they need to manage the time their customers have to wait. There is never an open quick check out lane. Why is that?

Customer service too bad, for more than 2 hours on the phone, no one picked up @ customer service, had to get to deli and meat department to find a supervisor named Nelly, and ask a question, who put me on hold never came back, had to call again from another phone to meat department to find the supervisor who claimed our connection was disconnected, while I held the other phone to her to hear that I was still connected, only to finally tell me that they didnt carry the product I was looking for!

Pros: recently (March/April 2017) much improved line management (themed "3 is a crowd"), clean, friendly bakery staff, well stocked, inside Panda Express for the kids. Cons: produce quality (bland tasting fruits and vegetables, berries are constantly moldy), pricing on meat and poultry, cut-throat expensive inside floral shop ($15 for a shaped helium balloon). Bottom line: Smart&Final (Ventura & Shoup) may be worthy of the drive for large purchases.

Very understaffed. Just going in for 1 item takes as long as if you went in for a whole grocery list. And if theres an issue with your transaction if takes a very long while (longer than it should) to take care of the problem. Id rather go to Vallarta just a few blocks away because at least you get through the line in a timely manner and staff actually know what they are doing.
