Whole Foods is known for their focus on healthy, organic and natural products. This particular location happens to be closer than any of the other chains in the neighborhood (including Ralphs, Vons, Albertsons, or Vallartas). This location includes sections of fresh produce, a bakery, a hot foods counter, a cold foods counter, a florist, a butcher counter and seafood monger, a cheese/coldcuts deli, a large wine selection, and the standard aisles of boxed/bagged foods and ingredients. Some might be turned away by the prices at Whole Foods, finding it expensive compared to the typical grocery stores. My experience is that Whole Foods offers fresh, local produce that can only be matched by Vallarta. Try finding fresh produce at the other chains -- forget it. Whole Foods also promotes organic products, which my family has seen a difference in dietary habits as a result (fewer allergies and respiratory issues). The larger chains are just starting to jump on the organic bandwagon and still in limited form. Butcher meats at Whole Foods are higher than at the grocery stores, but Ive never seen or cooked with a nicer chicken than what Ive been able to buy here. The only drawback that Ive found at this store (along with other grocery stores in the area) is the constant solicitations for donations outside the exit door. While not opposed to charitable giving, hanging out at the market does not incent me to want to donate.

I work up the street so I come in here for the hot food bar all the time. Its a great thing to do for lunch if you cant make up your mind, as there is great variety. As for the actual market, one thing I love about this place is that the lines are always short, and they move fast. Also love that there arent kids running around like mad (like the markets by my house) but thats probably because theyre all in school when Im there. The produce section is fantastic, and the sandwich and pizza shops are great, just as youd expect from Whole foods. One caveat, when you grab lunch here, and sit outside, facing Ventura Blvd, you are SURE to hear some crazy horn honking, and someone arguing, because some moron is trying to make a left onto one of the busiest boulevards in the city. Its so dumb, and annoying. Their parking lot is a madhouse as well, Ive nearly been run over by an old man, and once, after some fresh body work, somebody scratched up my bumper on their way out of their parking spot. Lots of self absorbed valley soccer moms driving huge land yachts here, so that is going to happen.

We like to eat at Whole Foods Markets when we travel. It is also a great place to pick up snacks. This one is nothing to write home about but the workers couldnt have been nicer. The store itself is pretty cramped and kind of so-so and the inside tables to eat at are right across from the checkstands. And the tables are so packed in there that the trash can was right behind me. I think this used to be another store and was remodeled. We are spoiled with the San Luis Obispo store. And if you are travelling north, I highly recommend you travel another 45 min-an hour to the Oxnard store which is big, new and gorgeous at 650 Town Center Drive and there is a Target adjacent to it!

I love wholefoods in general, but I must admit this was my LEAST favorite location. I often meet friends or even a client at wholefoods for a quick healthy bite and coffee, and usually it goes well. Here however, it was very noisy, and it made communication challenging. The AC in the outdoor area is bad too, and between the music being loud, the heat, and the never ending sounds of cars and honking, it made me feel like I was attempting to eat lunch in the middle of the street with a loud DJ next to me.

Just read something on Facebook about WholeFoods, and it said something to the effect of, "Whole foods will start labeling their GMO products beginnning....(dont remember the date, but what the hell is that?) Whole foods whole gimmick was that they only sold organic foods. I guess not. Look it up before you think youre NOT buying Frankenfruits from Monsanto. Id rather eat vegetables made by farmers, not a company that specializes in patenting weedkillers.

High end homeless paradise. Pros -Variety of things to buy -parking is Easy -You can sit on the patio and watch the drama unfold at the bus stop on on the patio its self. Cons -Many people who shop here probably spent all their pay check here so they are now homeless. But they love it here so much that they cant stop, talk about a paradox. -patio right next to blvd so exhaust all over your food (thanks L.A)

Extremely limited selection of produce and coffee. Cant find kitchenware. Dont sell anything but beer and wine. Small meat department. Like 6 choices for sausage. Very few bread and bun choices. The frozen section is almost laughable. Im coming from the east coast where whole foods produce department was nearly the size of this entire store. However the saving grace is the amazing staff. You guys rock!!

This whole foods (on the scale of whole foods in the L.A. area) runs about middle of the road. It has a nice bigger parking lot but the store itself is older - which means its smaller. I think that if you have the extra 10 mins its better to go to the gigantic one in Tarzana. But, if youre close to this one at least its better then most in LA where you can hardly get a card down the aisle!

Pros: Its Whole Foods! Great produce, many organic and healthy products, hot and cold good bars, deli, smoothie bar, baked goods, great wine & cheese selection. Cons: Smaller store, as Whole Foods goes. Doesnt carry as wide a selection of choices within product lines. No longer bakes goods on-site. Very few sugar free dessert options on shelves, only now, as far as I can tell.

I am giving the place a 2 Star rating only because of the prices. It is a lovely market with a good selection but it should be named Whole Paycheck as it is not an economical place to shop. Perhaps there are a few items that you can not find elsewhere but if you are looking for bang for the buck, this is not your store.

Looking for organic food to help change diet thought this page would be best for that. Chatted with someone that recommend a certain brand I checked them out and it was made in China, where China isnt known for distributing real organic food. I thought this would be more american locally grown stuff.

On a whole, I love Whole Foods. The 3 star rating is for this location only, due to its size. This is one of the smaller Whole Foods that I have seen (and I have been to a lot of Whole Foods nationwide). But it is still a Whole Foods with all the things I love, but just at a much smaller scale.

Very expensive but a great selection of healthy and delicious foods. The produce section is a joy. They prepared deli foods are heathful and delicious. I love the seafood counter. The only reason I didnt give them 5 stars is the proces seem higher tnan necessary.
