This is my favorite market in town since we moved to West Hills from Whittier. I find the fruits, and vegetables to be fresh and beautiful and bountiful and the prices fair and affordable. I find the variety of chilies we like, and today I bought their store made corn and flour tortillas. The corn tortillas were still warm from their freshness and the flour tortillas, I bought in the burrito size, are delicious. I love the quality of the beets, eggplant, red chard, carrots, papaya, bananas and more, all staples we consume, and priced so reasonably. And if you love traditional Mexican fare, the fresh cheese, the pork chicharrones, the fresh salsas are good quality.

The local Vallarta market is a great place to shop for fresh veggies, fruit and deli meats. Theres a lot of selection and the prices can not be beat. Adapting to the wider market/audience, the store had recently added organic choices. The bakery breads and sweets are incredible- try the blueberry muffins- and I love cooling off with an agua fresca. However, because this market caters to a mostly Hispanic base, I notice that "American" products like pasta sauce, frozen foods and coffee cost more here. Split your list in half. The produce is worth the extra trip here and the staff is friendly and helpful.

today i ate a caldo de pollo it did not taste very good im not sure if they left it out for too long or what?? the soup did not have good flavor it tasted like oil. and there was hardly any chicken in it it was almost all bones and fat. :( i was sick and lookng forward to eating a good chicken soup so i would feel better, but now i feel worse!

This store is alright when it comes to buying produce but the kitchen where you get cooked food is really bad half the time Ive bought roasted chicken its raw and their soups and tamales are pretty gross too. I would not recommend coming here Unless you want to buy produce or a drink because at least their drinks are good.

los tamales estan muy feos orribles es pura masa y ni salsa ni sabor tienen estan demaciado trandes pero de pura masa i didnt like them.......

Oh my god! This vallarta is the worse Ive ever been thru and it has 4 stars! I like doing my shopping early in the morning and they dont have anything ready the fruit its old and the bolillo not even ready yet. They dont have at much fruit. I ready hate this vallarta!

So disappointed, went to buy some poblano chili. The chilis was 99cents a lbs and most of the chilis were in very very bad conditions the chilis had mold I didnt even want to touch them and dont let me get started with the tomatillos! Expensive and bad produce!

Just bought 1 pupusa and it barely had any filling, it was pura masa... and it was small. For $2.69 it should have a decent amount of filling. I will NOT be coming back ever!
