The National Council of Jewish Women Thrift Shop on Sherman Way Just west of Owens mouth is one of the best Thrift Shop I have ever gone into. It has been in Canoga Park for over 20 years and has consistently provided people with superior merchandise. The facility is large and spacious which allows for much variety and sufficient space for the full display of ‘stuff’ from art to xylophones and vases to encyclopedias, paintings to lithographs. All of which I have seen there and purchased quite a few. More importantly, the staff there from Anna, to Claire to Francisco to Leticia to Martha to Sean are eager to assist whether to take down a painting from high up on the walls or to show full drawers of jewelry, sterling to 14 karat and costume to historical. These are people who greet you with a smile and even those who deserve a frown are still treated with kindness. And for those who bring donations, the National Council is known throughout the Valley as giving the most po$$itive amounts for your ‘previously owned’ items. So whether giving or taking out, the National Council of Jewish Women Thrift Shop on Sherman Way west of Owens mouth is the best.

This is a favorite go-to thrift store. the staff is friendly and they always have plenty of stock, though it does take a long time for them to rotate stuff out. Only other criticism is that their pricing--like many thrift stores--is a bit perplexing sometimes. A T-shirt from Target or WalMart priced the same as one from a higher-end store or designer or an item priced at or near what you can get it for brand new. Their BTGO (bpromotions on the weekends are good as are their "best of the best" promotions.

The people who works thier very rued and no manners . They speak Spanish which we are in the USA and every one should speak English and should learn English if they dont know . They faever the Spanish people and giving them discount . Very unprofessional . I dont go thier any more and allot of people has allot of complains .

I really loved this place but somebody is high jacking the prices and squeezing your pocket. A sleeves tank top starts at $7.00. Forever 21 sells those tanks for $4.00 sometimes. Its donation, be reasonable so everyone can shop and feel like they got a bargain and the money helped the charity.

Good Stuff...Just a lil pricey...Becareful this place also sells on line...Just like Goodwill...Also being towards the west hills area...Most of these Thrift Stores tend to believe they can raise prices at will...Depending upon what thee items worth or what They think they can get for it....

If you didnt scoop up the high end items, the rest of their stuff is priced very high as far as thrifting goes. For people who are used to buying designer items, then sure, $30 and $60 can be a steal for shoes and jackets, respectively. Even mass produced sweaters are $8!

They have a huge variety of shoes & purses . A good selection of clothes and decor. Ive never seen any clothes , especially furniture in bad condition . Customer service is great. Really friendly staff .

WOW! Such great items at a steal. I bought a pair of Lanvin heels, a Gucci purse and some wonderful high end ties. Couldnt believe the donations here. WOW!!!
