When I walked into this store,I was not greeted or even acknowledged, despite the fact that there was NOBODY ELSE in the store and I had on my friendliest smile. =) After a few minutes, the lady behind the counter came up and bluntly asked if I needed help. I explained that I wanted to replace my old wedding ring and was interested in several of the designs on display. I also added that I has a synthetic stone with me that I wanted to make into a right hand ring but was unable to determine the correct sizing and clarity for a semi-mount, and if she would mind helping me. She then huffed at me and said "NOBODY sells JUST settings...." . She stated that she made her own rings and if I was going to be getting a setting, then I "wasnt her customer", as she took my stone and briskly walked towards the rear of the store. Taken aback, I reiterated the fact that I came in to see the designs on display because I was looking to buy a new ring and that the solitaire I had was for a completely separate purpose. She continued to be rude to me, refusing to give me back the stone until she measured it "as requested". She was completely rude and unprofessional the entire 2 minutes I could bear to be inside the store! In my opinion, when a new customer and POTENTIAL BUYER has a simple request, good customer service skills as well as business etiquette would be essential factors in building a rapport and developing a relationship with somebody that fuels your income. The fact that she was unable to properly communicate whatever reason she had to object my request symbolizes the potential relationship she may have with anybody trying to collaborate with her in designing a custom piece of jewelry. Bottom line ---- STAY AWAY unless you get a kick out of being talked down to and made to feel like you are not "good enough" for professional and courteous treatment.

Ann is amazing! My fiance and I happened to walk in out of the blue (an hour after she normally closed) and I asked her to take a look at my antique engagement ring which needed to be re-sized. She was more than happy to help us even though it was after hours and was very helpful. She let us know that the reason it kept turning around on my finger was because it was top heavy and she expertly added more gold to the ring and sized it at a VERY reasonable cost (about half of what we were promised at other jewelers). My fiance and I are EXTREMELY pleased with the results and I love my ring now more than ever. She also appraised it for us! I would recommend her to anyone who wants an expert jeweler who is very good at her craft.

I stopped in here to check out the estate stuff, of which there is a small but tasteful selection. The jeweler who runs the place also designs her own jewelry, which is understated and elegant and unusual. If I wanted to have something made, I would trust her to have a practical and aesthetic eye. I didnt actually have anything done, but its worth a shot if youre in the market for newer jewelry or repairs.
