The Variety in the Deli and Bakery is amazing. So many choices and everything is so tasty and aesthetically pleasing, great wines and treats of all sorts, if you need a a big dish, a dessert, wine or otherwise for a last minute occasion or just a mid week pick-me-up for the family, zoom into Vons, you will have everything you need and on your way in a flash! As you make your choices, you can grab a taste drink from THE BEST self serve fountain drink station in the north Slo County. And The Staff is first Class! Everyone from the newer bagging staff to the seasoned managers, everyone is helpful, welcoming, with endless smiles and charming wit, especially the great Staff of Atascadero High School Students and recent Alumni that work there and do an amazing job every day. Jarrett in the meat and deli departments, is full of knowledge and first class service. Celene will get your groceries, checked, & bagged in a flash, she is full of helpful info, smiles and pep in every step. She extends personalized care and kindness to her customers, I always look for her and go through her line at check out,because she tops off the Vons experience with Class, Care, and her sweet words and smile. Bryce is another student enployee who is lightening fast and has a smile and good word and a laugh! This caring young staff of AHS students, who have joined the Vons Team, really bring TEAM high morale to Vons. You leave there with a sense of community, and feel that every customer counts, as you you get on your way. As a customer of Vons, I feel I count and matter, And one thing is very apparent at Vons, the AHS Student and Alumni Staff ; Character Counts. Way to bring some "GREYt" Greyhounds Students to a great business, the combination of this student staff and Vons, is a Win/Win for our community, the students, and all Vons customers. It seems like everytime I go into the Atascadero Vons, the employees are involved in some sort of negative conversation.....Last week as I was being checked out, a few employees were talking about all the customer traits they hate....right in front of me......Today when I was in there one female employee was not wanting to work the checkstand asking why another employee didnt have to do it saying, "He never does anything!" The male employee in question piped up saying, "Im still at lunch, my breaks not over yet!" The "hello sirs" that I receive seem not genuine and are usually made without eye contact, in a vacant sort of way.....add this to really slow checkouts due to Vons Club cards not scanning, check approvals, price checks, etc. and it makes the whole expirence rather trying....I like to go to Trader Joes when I can, but Vons is much closer when I need the basics like milk, eggs, bread, etc. People notice these things, and I think that is one very big reason that sales are down.......At least Im guessing that they are.

Absolutely cant stand this Vons everything about it sucks in my opinion. They are typically way overpriced, they have food and displays stuffed in every aisle that you have to manuver around and sometimes move out of the way so you can find what youre looking for. Theres no Deli and a mediocre bakery. Their sales prices are Food For Less everyday price. Forget about buying alcohol here its way overpriced youre better off at Arco ampm or one of the gas stations. I only come here when I need something specific that I know Grocery Outlet or Food For Less will not carry which is very rare Im glad to say. We can only hope that someday this town gets a real grocery store. Customer services are lacking also. Last week early in the morning there were only a few customers in the store, yet there was a line of 4 people waiting to check out and only one checker. I waited about 4 minutes then decided to leave my cart right there and walk out. I went to Food 4 less and found everything cheaper. Vons is a rip-off

I recently moved to Atascadero and started looking for a place to shop. I discovered this store has a great bread bakery with a bakery manager who seems concerned. They also have a good wine department. The deli, however, is the worse I have ever experienced. It is poorly stocked, they want you to buy old pre sliced and when you insist on slicing, they grab the sliced meat and stuff it in a plastic bag. There is no assortment of good deli meats and cheeses and the prepared food looks so bad I cannot imagine anyone eating it. The freezer section contains one of every frozen meal invented, but not good frozen vegetables, liked frozen artichokes etc. The produce section looks good, just do not ask for anything different like Arugula or large quantities of fresh herbs. Maybe customers should just stick to the bread and wine.

Extremely frustrating trying to get a hold of them over the phone. When I finally got a hold of someone I asked them a question and they didnt know. I asked to be transfered. The guy didnt know how to do that so he ran to the front. When he came back on the line he answered my question wrong, then told me I could probably Google it to get what Im looking for. I told him I already checked google and he apologized and set the phone down. I could hear him rustling around in the background. I waited for 5 minutes before hanging up and calling again. I always have the WORST customer service experience here.

Vons friendly people anytime you go in there. Its super clean . cool in the summer warm in the winter. Its my local store. I wont go anywhere but Vons in Atascadero. There the only store that has the best deli. And cat food. Great produce always..even succulents and flowers house plants that are always gorgeous never wilted. ..and there butchers in the meat department rock out they dont mess around they love food like we all do..Great steaks and Chicken always . no other store i know has friendly service and value since 1976 Santa Monica Vons on Wilshire Blvd was how it is today. I like the selection of items available at Vons. They sell some food items I cant find at the other grocery stores in town. However, they are more expensive in general. And too often I run into rude people. Ive asked the butcher a quick question only to be given the evil eye, and a loud response back. This has happened more than once. Maybe Im not supposed to talk to employees or ask for help? News to me....

When you walk into a grocery store all prices on all products should be a parent, in this store all is very apparent also the help from the staff is outstanding.. They will go out of their way in the back to find out if they have what youre looking for.. Plus when you leave it manager gives you a smile and wishes you a good night.. This is a respectable store

LOVE THE STAFF! ALWAYS HELPFUL & EAGER TO PLEASE, KIND, FRIENDLY. STORE IS ACTUALLY BEAUTIFUL INSIDE! ALWAYS SMELLS GOOD TOO. BEST & LARGEST SELECTION OF MAGAZINES IVE EVER SEEN IN ANY STORE! I COULD GO BROKE BUYING MAGS. SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM... I LOVE IT! MY FAVORITE PLACE TO SHOP! BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS & PLANTS, TOO!
