Typical Safeway. One thing different about this one is that they have a sushi and asian food section (in addition to the their deli sandwiches). Their chow mein is good but I would stay away from the other stuff. Sushi are made fresh daily and kept in a display case. Its not bad but dont expect it to be cheap. Typically will cost about $10.00 for a small tray which is comparable to restaurant pricing. Their sandwiches, Im not a big fan of; but their fried chicken and chicken strips are not bad and good value. Their groceries are okay and produce are fresh although not as cheap as FoodMaxx. Shelves are stocked full and arranged logically. One thing I hate is their lack of cashiers. Expect to spend 15+ minutes waiting to pay for your purchases on a Friday afternoon as the times I went, there were only three cashiers plus one cashier managing the self checkout section.

Last week we bought some grapes (imported from Chile) and got home and ate some and they tasted old and spoiled. I am not ever going to buy produce imported anymore. I just threw them away because I hate returning things. Yesterday I bought some Brie cheese with herbs from the deli and some of it tasted like ammonia! I threw it away too. I suppose the store manager wants to keep stuff around longer to save money but I am ready to go shop somewhere else even if I have to drive farther. These two departments should have totally fresh food. At least the meat department is outstanding. Cant say that for everything at this store.

I usually get stellar service at every Safeway but this time my visit was close to closing. I was purchasing a premade sandwich and wanted the mustard and mayo packets from behind the deli for it. When I asked a near by employee that was just sweeping the floor he refused to assist me and continued sweeping. I am disappointed and absolutely caught off guard because thats never happened to me at a Safeway before. I also am a former employee of Safeway and I know that they are trained and EXPECTED TO ACT BETTER THAN THAT. SO ITS UNFORTUNATE THAT THE EMPLOYEE WAS TOO LAZY TO DO THE JOB Safeway requires of their employees.

I bought an Signature Cafe All American Sub whole sandwich, it was dated to expire on Feb 6th, and was made today Feb 5th. When I cut it open I was greeted with a stench. The meat was bad, the cheese actually had some mold on it and the tomato was almost completely dry. At least the bread felt fresh, though I do not appreciate disgusting contents. I went back for a refund and was told they do not refund opened deli products. So thank you for costing me the the 8.99+Tax lesson, from now on I will stick to Raleys.

Im a regular at this safeway and their quality in the butchers dept, produce and overall maintaining stock is subpar to say the least. Ive come in on numerous occasions for meat out of the butchers dept only to be met with sarcasm and irritation for my requests. This past sunday i came in for some items tgat were listed only to have the butcher tell me the shipments didnt come in. Cmon what kind if business are these managers running at the lonetree location?

Employees do not follow policy or procedure. Always a long wait on the check out lines. Self check out never open. 15 items or less lane mixed with 50 or more items. Look to spend a while here in line. Checkers are rude and dont give a about their jobs.

Excellent, clean and higher end grocery store with good selection of beer, spirits and wine. Good deli and produce department, and decent staff. Never a long wait. Organized and well maintained store. Pricey, but living in California everything is pricey.
