This store is like black Friday everyday. The best days to go are definitely during the week when people are at work. Tuesdays and Thursdays I think are the best. Its true that some of the items are way overpriced for what they are, it seems as if the prices have increased over the last year or so because the crowds I believe have gotten bigger. When you go be sure to not have a lot with you, the isles are tiny and always packed, especially for the shoes. If you have to have a purse choose to bring a small one and keep it close to your body, otherwise it will just continuously get knocked around. Be prepared to encounter some of the rudest people too, everyone is trying to find the same deals so it gets aggressive. Ive had people shove me out of the way a couple times (not just an small push to get by, like slammed into the rack, because apparently taking more than 5 secs to look at an area on the shoe rack is just unnecessary). Yes, the employees can be rude, but look at the people theyre dealing with on a daily basis. They have rules they have to follow, that they dont make up. Could they do it with a smile? Absolutely. Do they? Not usually. But Im sure at some point during the day they did until they got yelled at by a customer. This is way longer than I originally wanted, so Ill end here. Just know its super busy, all the time, and youll be dealing with people who hate their life the entire time. You can find really good deals, but its not everyday, and its after searching through boxes and racks for hours.

I went on a Tuesday, early afternoon. It was moderately crowded. I had read reviews on various websites that people can get rowdy, pushing & shoving & the like. I was looking at sunglasses and an employee came over & said "sorry maam, Im gonna have to shut this section down for like, a year." She was obviously exaggerating but she also didnt offer an explanation. Shortly after I moved, a few people started running and vying for a spot in line right where I had been standing. I never figured out why they were in that line. It was not the line to checkout. The line remained there against the wall for at least the next hour. I spent about three hours in Last Chance, with my mom & sister. They had more success than I did. I did end up with a brand new pair of Nike Sky Hi Dunks for $18.97 & they retail at about $120. In addition to a pair of sunnies for $2 & a skirt for $5, I was very happy with that. I recommend Last Chance only if you have several hours to devote to looking through bins and on racks that include new merchandise but also heavily worn, dirty, torn and tattered items. Many things look like what youd see at Goodwill or another similar place. However, the things that are new or very gently worn are at great price points. If I visited the Phoenix area again, Id go back. Note: it is a dead zone for cell phones & bringing hand sanitizer is a good idea.

Last chance is cool if you have lots of patience and time on your hands. The bargains are incredible and you can find some good stuff if you take the time to dig. But be warned, shoppers are effing INSANE there. It takes a special person to work there and I give the staff mad props for dealing with the adult children who come through those doors. They consistently have to manage crowd control, tell GROWN women to stop running and fighting over clothes. Ive been followed by a shopper, waiting for me to set down a Valentino purse I had in my hand and Ive also had items straight up stolen out of my cart. Oh and speaking of carts, grown women will also have meltdowns if you manage to get your hand on a cart before they do. I suggest you scout out someone checking out and very politely and kindly ask for a cart or basket once theyre done. Oh ya, I didnt end up buying the Valentino bag (originally 3k for only $500) because the handle was duct taped to it, zipper was broken and embellishments were missing... and the stalker lady ended up swooping it up and purchasing it. Anything for a brand names I guess?

This store can be great to find incredible deals but not everyone gets he same chance as others. There is a specific group of "regulars" they all speak Spanish and become friends with the workers to let them into the restocked aisle. Sadly they spend there whole days there. They find great deals and get everything in every size and sell online. They workers know exactly what they do but do say anything and they sometimes go sit on the stairs and take pictures of the shoes and see how much they retail for in front of everyone. I would love to go and shop for myself to have a couple of nice things but you cant get anything with them there. I once was walking towards an aisle that had just opened and this lady pushed me to the ground to get in front of me. I told the manager and he didnt do anything. And said he would keep and eye out when earlier the same lady was fighting over a pair of shoes. I can be great stuff times but its rare to get something desent!

Great place if you have a lot of patience to shop. If you follow my few tips you cant go wrong: 1. Do NOT wear a sweater or heavy coat - it is hot hot hot down there 2. Carry a small crossbody purse- hands free here is best 3. Wear shoes that come off easy so you can try on LOTS of boots, heels and sandals 4. Wear leggings and a log top to easily slip items on if you do not want to wait for the long line in the dressing room. 5. Check your items over VERY carefully before you buy - check zippers, buttons, make certain shoes sizes match - NO refunds people 6. Do NOT let your cart or basket out of your site - people will take your items! 7. Cell phone coverage can be difficult , this is in a basement! 8. Be prepared to "team shop" they do put limits on some items. Enjoy! I have found so many amazing deals here!

Last Chance. ..literally. I am a LC shopper at heart. Amazing deals for an even more incredible price. But like everything in life it comes with a cost. I appreciate the not always friendly staff reminding everyone to play nice, or as they put it "NO AGGRESSIVE SHOPPING" or how they rope an area to restock. . A Lil dramatic if you ask me, I dont think no one would even notice if a staff member discreetly walked over hung a few blouses (which of the 13 hung only 1 is salvageable)...not complaining but LC has came a long way, & not always in the positive...they could get rid of a tons of junk especially shoes that look like my nana wore, when she was a teen...it takes a very special person to shop here & an even more sane to keep coming back!!!

This is a very fun store for bargain hunters, but I echo the previous review about aggressive shoppers. If youre there for a fun experience, and dont necessarily care if you walk out empty handed, youll have a good time. Today was my first time shopping here, and I did experience one shopper who was quite rude, but the staff was helpful and my cashier was very friendly. I was able to score a few pairs of shoes (each pair well under $30) and a Kate Spade purse for $30. Overall, a very fun and successful trip. Side note: I took my 2 children who are 4 and 6. I do not think its impossible to bring small children, but make sure to have plenty of entertainment for them and a stroller. Shopping carts are hit or miss in regard to their availability.
