Its been 10 years since Ive had any work done and this was my first tattoo in Phoenix. I had wanted a large piece (part of an Alphonse Mucha painting) done for a long time, long time, and I finally decided to take the plunge. The location was perfect for me, and I felt the warm, friendly, laid-back vibe the instant I walked into the shop. Jason wasnt intimidated by the piece I wanted; instead, he was super-excited to tackle it. I booked an appointment on the spot. My piece was completed in two sittings, and Jason worked quickly and efficiently. The details and the color are stunning, and I get compliments everywhere I go. I highly recommend these guys. Jason did the work on me, but Ive seen all three of them complete beautiful pieces, and you cant go wrong with any of them (Jason, Chris, and Alex) :) Go, have fun, and enjoy your new tattoo! PS - The shop is spotless and their prices are affordable. Remember to tip your artist, kids!!

Just got a piece done by Evan yesterday and it was awesome. I have gotten two small tattoos before, one in Detroit and the other in Iceland, so not only was this my first in Phoenix but this was my third one and my biggest so far. The shop and Evan assuaged any minor fears I had and made me feel very comfortable, and he had a gentle hand as well...even during shading portions of my tattoo it really wasnt that bad, and the tattoo is healing perfectly. We finished up shortly after 1pm and even by that evening the swelling and redness was entirely gone (I know individual bodies can have different reactions, but my smaller tattoos took longer than this one for some reason so that was something I happened to notice). I have plans to come back to Evan for other tattoos I want as I have a couple other ideas swimming around in my head and he was super down to do more for me so Golden Rule has another customer for life.

Got my 2nd and 3rd tattoos from here, couldnt recommend it more. Yes, the price is a tad high but for art that you want, at your time, forever? Not really. The people here really try to do the best by you. I came in on a Saturday when everyone was overbooked and Evan squeezed me and my bestfriend in for half an hour before an appointment and drew up her custom tattoo. Bob had done a previous piece on me before as well and he was super friendly (everyone in there was, I feel like many parlors dont give a very welcoming vibe) and also took care of my walk in and charged me extremely fair. Tattoos arent something half assed, these people have integrity both artistically and within their business. Thanks guys!

Wish I could give a negative rating. This place came recommended from a friend but I had awful experience there. Maybe some of the artists are really good. The one I wanted had a waiting list. I took a chance and went with someone else who was available. I was rescheduled more than once, finally got in 3 weeks later and then the tat was screwed up. I went back the next day while it was healing to get it touched up and it still needs to be fixed. The attitude there was ignorant and arrogant, the artist wasnt listening to what I wanted and then acted like he was pissed off when I returned to get a touch up.

I got a piece done on my arm by Kyle and he did a fantastic job! Super friendly place. You will be required to place a $60 deposit at the time of the appointment but that will count towards the cost of the tattoo when its all totaled out. Highly recommend checking out their site to get an idea of the artists different styles then Facebook as well as Instagram. Most of the artists have most of their finished work on their Instagram pages. Plenty of parking in the back so you wont have to worry about parking meters for this location.

Had some work done the past year by Paulski and very happy with the results. Will be returning and have recommended him to a couple of my friends. Some bottled water would be a nice touch for those of us in there for longer sessions, and I dont dig on the artist group circle-arounds when Im getting worked on, but that seems to be the culture to a degree. And just a heads-up, when Im getting needled on, dont stand in front of me with your food and eat. Much appreciated.

The customer service is EXCELLENT and their artists are extreamely talented. I got a small geometric piece done by Jake B yesterday and I could not be more satisfied with it. His lines are sharp and he took his time making sure I was comfortable and happy with the end result. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left I was a happy customer. I have already recommended them to others and 10/10 would go to Jake B and The Golden Rule again!

Got a tattoo with Mikey and he is amazing! Youll never find a shop more caring about your experience and more fair of a price. Other shops with try and tell you that your design will take longer than it actually will just to get more money out of you. I went to over 15 shops comparing prices, environment and the staff and nothing compared or even came close to this shop. Thank you Mikey and staff for my amazing tattoo and experience!

I could not ask for a better shop with better people. All the artists are talented and show great listening skills and customer service for new clients. I am working on a progressive arm sleeve and have spoke to many people who have come in for work who are additionally satisfied with their experience. I could not recommend a better shop for tattoo needs. Their slogan says it all... "Clean, Friendly, Professional."

I have been going to get tattooed by Jason for years and I wont go anywhere else. Even when I lived out in California for a bit I would drive out to Golden Rule whenever I had the chance. When Jason was doing my right sleeve my Dad came in to see what it was like and Chris ended up giving him a tattoo on the spot. Extremely friendly guys, once again I refuse to go anywhere else.

Christopher Robin is awesome tattoo artists, he did a traditional gypsy lady on the inside of my bicep. Its a pretty sensitive spot for a tattoo, try pinching yourself multiple times in that area. Christopher was gently and fast, two great qualities in a tattoo artiest. The shading, lines, everything looks clean and beautiful. Hope to book another session to start my chest.

Just spent a year in monthly visits to Honest Bob. Im 100% pleased with the sleeve. Hes down to earth and very detailed, very kind, and very reasonable with his time. While there I watched Morgan, Bree, Kyle, and others with their clients and they honestly are some of the most pleasant and talented artists around. Im literally going to keep going back until Im covered.

You know most tattoo shops are crazy...loud guys who constantly swear...and possibly like weekend at bernies a little too much lol.... But they are kind and soft men who do excellent work. They have wonderful customer service. I made an appointment with Alex to redo a cover up and ad color. He was listening to me, made me feel comfortable and was friendly.
