I went to Virtual Reality Tattoo sometime in September - October 2012. I went in and it was a great place. It was extremely clean and well organized, but the aesthetics were soon overshadowed by the "welcoming" personality of my soon-to-be tattoo artist. He just kind of stood there and stared me down until I said something, not even introducing himself. I was getting two quotes on my wrists, and it was about 50 dollars a piece (pretty reasonable). It took about an hour of complete silence. My artist never talked to me, and it felt like he just wanted to get this over with. I just turned 18, so maybe it was a kid thing? I dont know, but I tried to make some conversation, which turned out really awkward. After an hour, I found out his name was "Tim", but only through his business card. It was a horrible first time experience.I would love to come back here - their designs are great, the other guy there seemed friendly, but I will never, ever ask to be tattooed by Tim unless I want to be treated like Im just there to give him money.Overall I recommend getting inked at Club Tattoo for their artists.

I dont know if a guy name Darren still works at this place, put he has no business doing tattoos. I went in for a cover up about 8 years ago, and if its possible to make a guitar string tattoo look worse, he could probably pull it off. I went back in a few weeks later to show him what hed done and another guy who works there looked at it and asked, "Who did that to you?" To his credit, he seemed upset...but, not nearly as upset as I still am about this. This thing is on my arm for life unless I can find someone to remove it, at cost to me, or to cover it up, which requires it to be even bigger than it already is. This artist should be ashamed of himself for doing this a then 20 year old kid. Not that it wasnt my choice to pay him to do a tat, but I figured that hed have some sense of responsibility to me. Its sad that perhaps an otherwise reputable business has been avoided by anyone in AZ who asked me where to go for work. My response? To this day, its, "Anywhere but there, and anyone but Darren."

I got my first tattoo here last Tuesday (Aug 23). I f***ing love it!! After going to 5 other tattoo parlors, this was by far the best one. They werent pushy and were very professional. I had an idea, drew a really bad sketch, gave a brief description of what I wanted and gave it to **Jeff Brown**. The next day, he had an awesome design worked out which became my tattoo. My friend came with me so she could be an annoyance while I was in pain, but it didnt hurt! Granted, I dont have any other experiences to compare it with, but apparently where I got it (on my chest) would normally hurt quite a bit, but Jeff was awesome. Definitely recommend this place!

I went in for a starfish and sand dollar and seashell tattoo on my foot. Tim was the tattoo artist. He was not customer service oriented at all. Didnt talk much. Didnt introduce himself to me. Just came out from the back and said what do you want. And totally messed up my tattoo. The starfish wasnt the color I wanted. He totally messed up on the sand dollar and seashell. Im so very disappointed! I will Never go back there or recommend that tattoo shop to anybody!!!!!! Thumbs down the worst job Ive ever had done.

Its the day before Super-bowl XLV1 and I am a major New York Giants fan and I needed my NY Logo tattooed on my shoulder before 4:00pm Sunday. I walked into the Virtual Reality Tattoo shop and spoke with Jeff Brown he reassured me that I would have the tattoo i wanted so badly. I would have to say of the three tattoos I have had done, this definitely hurt the least and he did a wonderful job. I will recommend him to my family and friends.

Virtual Reality is the only place I go. I got several tattoos done here, some of my own design, and one in a very bad, painful spot. It hurt so bad I was shaking. Tim took his time and knew exactly when to take a break to keep the pain from pushing me past my limits. Its amazing how well it turned out with my shaking. Patient, professional, gorgeous work.

Just got a tatt frm there a little disappointed, the guy who was working on more was more worried about taking smoke breaks then doing a good job...wont go back there
