Havent been here in years! Did some Christmas shopping here. It was crowded, of course! Lots of the toys packaging were smashed up, and bashed in on the corners. When we get to the register, we were not even greeted by the cashier. What happened to great customer service, even during Christmas?!! I gave her a cheerful "HI!!" She responded with "hiii," in the lowest, depressing tone, ever!! Her name started with an "A," which was not even pronounceable. She asked me if I was on the rewards program, and I said "No, I would like to sign-up." She rings me up, then I ask "Okay, so how does the rewards work now?" Her reply was "Oh, did you want to sign up?" I replied "Yes, I said that from the beginning, when you first asked me. So, what happens now? Do you just redo the transaction?" She says "No, I already did it, but you can sign up now, and when you make a purchase for $100 and over, you will receive a $5 reward emailed to you." REALLY?!!! So, just forget that I already spent over $100 NOW!!! AND, she told me that the sale prices will come out at the end of the transaction. Well, that didnt happen either! Now I have to make another trip there to get a refund!! NOTE: Please hire nicely trained staff that are competent, and smile, and maybe like their job a wee bit.

We visited this store along with a few other local TRUs on the same day looking for a particular item. We were surprised how little stock this store had on its shelves compared with its sister stores. It was like a ghost town. This is the middle of March, so its not a holiday sales problem. It also doesnt look like selling-out of merchandise is the problem, as there are no shelf tags indicating missing items, just a lot of empty space, like they arent carrying a whole lot of items in the first place. The store on McDowell Road had at least twice as much merchandise; however, youll pay more in sales tax if you shop there. One more recent discovery: If you use a gift card for your purchase, it deducts the value from each separate (line) item, and if you return one of those items, you lose the respective value of the gift card from your return value! A class action against Gap corp (Gap, Banana Repub, Old Navy) for the same issue was settled in favor of the consumer a few years ago, regarding keeping portions of peoples gift card balance and/or reward dollars on returned items. ToysRUs has the same unethical practice. Any class-action attorneys reading this? Might be a few dollars in it for you, because ToysRUs is taking them from customers.

Well I wanted to call to check the availability on 2 Nintendo 3ds consoles and 1 leappod. As you know this was an expensive set of purchases. I called once and got hung up on, so I called back and it took 10 minutes for a worker to answer and answered with attitude. I told HER I wanted to see if they had the items in stock, she put me on hold for 20 plus minutes. How long does it take to type in a few items? Youd think if someone was about to spend hundreds of dollars at your business you would want to help them to the best of your ability. If she worked for me she would be fired. Ill go elsewhere for my items.

Toysrus use to be good, but this year i decided to do their layaway. When we paid it off they put picked up instead of paid off. There for the truck didnt bring any of my kids big christmas presents in. They told me they were sorry they didnt know what to do, but they wouldnt be getting any of my items in until after christmas!! Thank god for costco and kmart, i found the same items 2 days before christmas...cheaper to top it off. If i wouldnt of found those,my kids wouldnt of had a christmas! I Will never trust them again, unfortunetly!!

When it comes to return items and if you only have gift receipt they will give the lowest price that was on sale even if you paid full before the item was on sale.

Love taking my son to Toys r us. I remember my dad taking me and checking out all the toys . I love that in a digital age toys still capture the hearts of kids .

We left Toys R Us because they offer a variety of toys that other stores dont carry. The prices are a little higher than Walmart but you have a bigger option.
