Felt like a criminal, Yesterday 5/16/15, I went to Costco with my mom. I have an expired Costco membership and cannot afford the $60 membership fee. However, my mom has a current membership, so, I thought it was okay to shop with her. Once we made it to the check out, there was a male cashier and female employee assisting. The female employee looked at me strangely and asked where my cart was. I informed her that my mom and I were sharing a cart. The female employee then smirked and faked a smile. Next, my mom finished checking out and tried to subtly hand me her card but the cashier caught it. He asked, "dont you have a membership?". I said "No" and he stated that he could only take payment from a "member". My mom paid for my items and I repaid her later that day. I was wrong for trying to use someone else membership to buy things at Costco. My issue is why should I pay to shop and pay for items? The concept is ridiculous but apparently successful. Also the cashier and the other employee where rude. The store (McDowell Rd.l and 99th Ave in Avondale) was incredibly busy and the other customers were also rude. So why again should I pay to shop at this place? Also the parking was atrocious and the drivers were very rude. In fact my mom and I were almost hit a couple of times. I am a single woman with no children and shopping at the neighborhood market works fine for me. Costco is for suburban families who make the trip there the highlight of their weekend. So not me! I will not be returning to Costco again and I am shredding my membership card. Hey Costco, if you are reading this, do not send me anymore "We want you back, heres a $20 gift card" promos because you have burnt your bridge with me.

Went in on Tuesday evening to purchase 3 items. It was busy, lines were long, thats Costco no prob. I waited patiently in line and all of a sudden one of the ladies that assists the customers to shorter lines pointed me in the direction of a line that was just opening up. Awesome I though...or so i thought...then I encountered Laura. She was not friendly at all, no eye contact no smile, and no acknowledgement, just her long arm stretched out as asking for the member card. She began ringing up the first item and then she looked at the card and began questioning me about the person on the card....(my partner) No she was not there, no I was not on the account, no i did not have my own account....after her badgering me with questions and getting loud she told me that this was the only time she would do this for me. I thanked her but man was she rude about it. She stated that it was like a gym membership...at that point I was like whatever....So if you ever come in contact with tall, short blonde hair, with glasses Laura just steer clear if you want to avoid an unpleasant experience. For the meanwhile I will be shopping elsewhere. They seriously need to re-evaluate their employees.

The eyeglasses of my son had issue. I brought it in Costco where we got it with the thought of warranty. Costco Optical in Avondale AZ told me in the face (very not friendly) that there is no warranty and we need to pay another frame. The person seemed to be in a rush and does not want to hear any concerns or questions from us. I see lots of blogs and reviews in the internet that "if the eyeglasses/frame is less than 1 year, Costco changed the frame." In our case, the eyeglasses of my son was purchased July, 2015. My question/concern is...does Costco’s eyeglasses/frame had warranty? If not, why not? I thought Costco stand on the products they sell. We have been member with Costco for years and this incident so far was very bad. We are just thinking that if a customer bought eyeglasses in Costco, and the frame had issues after several days, weeks, then the customer is on his/her own. With this, it seemed that Costco does not stand with the eyeglasses product they sell. Or do they?

Treated like crap! Im here once a week and I never experienced treated like crap. I was grabbing my membership card, so the bagger took my cart and start unloading my stuff I thought his being nice. The cashier IRMA turn around and said ( in the future you have to unload your own stuff so bagger will do other packing). First of all she asked my card while doing that Anthony the bagger help me out. I felt embarrased and her tone of voice like upset because I get help. Im paying membership and not looking for customer service but the fact that shes being rude,my heart melt in tears and thinking I dont deserved that. Take note: Its closing time when I stop by and no one in line, so I dont understand the attitude.

Costco is Costco. My one and only complaint is I wish they would mention to the customer that they are adding your membership fee to your bill before doing it. Had my membership upgraded to executive last year without my consent. My fault but I didnt notice until later in the year. Yesterday just added membership to my bill. After it was added cashier mentioned it when i protested I was told that "we can upgrade membership but I cant refund the difference to downgrade." Did not have 1/2 hour to stamd in line at customer service. A simple conversation prior to adding to my bill would have avoided the whole thing.

The quality of the food they sell is the best around. Their regular price on things is like a sales price at the grocery store. Everything is in bulk, and the membership is $55 a year. If you can use or store large quantities, you can save a lot of money. If you cant, youll do okay shopping sales at the grocery stores. But youll miss the variety Costco can offer in every category, from food to office supplies. They often have special purchase for one-time sales. This can be art, jewelry, planters full of cacti, fruit trees, etc. They have beautiful Noble Fir trees at Christmas for a really good price.

Do not purchase from All About Water inside Costco!!! Their water softner is faulty and will destroy your pipes and faucets. The water softner has a bad reaction with your pipes and faucets. I have replaced 5 faucets now in a home that is barely 3 years old. Their water softner also consumes more water a month in a single family of 4 home. When the softner is off, water use is significantly less. You use 5 bags of salt every 3 weeks, in all it is the biggest rip off ever!! They will not stand behind a product that is not even a year old. Save your money and purchase elsewhere.

Always very impressed with the selection and prices. Staff are polite and hardworking. Return policy is wonderful. Love me some Costco. Need to be a member to shop there. Thats how they keep the prices so low. I like it when they kick self-righteous "human beings" out after they were just caught trying to impersonate a Costco member by bringing their card since they dont have one. Go shop at Walmart or pay the $50 like everyone else.

Its costco, where else can you get a years supply of mustard or peanut butter for $2-4 more than a small bottle or jar from the grocery store. I highly reccomend if you have multiple people in your household. Also they are always friendly at the checkout and customer service lines. Most of the employees have been there for many years so it shows you that they are doing something right.
