UPDATE 3/19/17: The Costco Manager called me directly as I sent my complaint to corporate. He was very nice and apologized for the situation I had to endure, and said that the employee at the door did not handle the situation properly. Im happy to hear that management didnt have part in how the employee handled the situation. I was at the Tempe, AZ Costco today, Wed, March 15th, at about 2:00pm. As I was walking in to meet my wife and children, who were already inside shopping, I was approached by the doorman (his name was Drew) and he asked for my membership card. Totally fine with that, and I understand that checking for membership cards is a standard practice at Costco. He is just doing his job. I told him that I did not have my card on me at the time and that my wife that was currently shopping inside in warehouse had her card, and I was simply meeting her inside to help with the kids. As I kept walking further inside he proceeded to yell at me... "stop sir!, you cannot go in without a card of your own!" I said that "yes I could" as my wife was inside shopping had her card in possession, and I continued walking. He continued to verbally stop me from walking into the store with a threat to "get his manager." I turned to him and said "to please get his manager" and proceeded to walk in and meet my family inside. The tone of his voice and posture was very unprofessional during this encounter. First off, as a Costco member, I will NEVER EVER be held hostage from meeting my family inside your establishment!!! Totally unacceptable. And for the Costco worker, Drew, to threaten me with his manager is also totally unacceptable and unreasonable. What was the manager going to do? Escort me out and not allow me to join my family inside? Follow me around the store? I get the policy to check cards at the door to keep unaware shoppers from loading up a cart and then finding out they need to be a member to pay. However, when I say that Im meeting my family inside to shop with them, the doorman should understand the situation and allow me to enter into the establishment. You arent a bouncer at a club! If this is Costcos policy of "no one gets through the door" (even if they have family currently shopping inside) than we will need to revoke our Costco membership from this point forward as this kind of policy is not very welcoming toward paying members.

Love Costco check the league of the one right next to Paradise Valley Mall thats my favorite store they are the best for me theyre right across the street from where I am a lot of the time and have convenient connection to anything else in the area I would need so from the gluten free pet food to the grain-free gluten-free treats to the wonderful produce section at decent prices to the freezer section to the order to go pizzas when I have guests over to my home I dont want to cook something I cant have so I pick up a pizza for $10 and call it in as I go past there so all-in-all the Fantastic place! Although the membership is on the price here and the exclusive membership The Higher One actually gives you a lot of great parks and theres videos on YouTube to help you make the most of those perks for free definitely worth checking those out if you remember for a travel for car and home benefits to even book orders that you can pick up first having to shop in the place. Something else to consider although I dont necessarily insist this is morally okay but for those that are really tight on budget if you get a gift card for Costco they wont require you and most cases to have a membership because they want you to spend that money there anything outside the gift card however is a different story but just a little loophole to help anyone who wants to check it out

Was headed to an Italian restaurant down the street on my way back to Phoenix when I drove past and spotted a sidewalk patio full of people. Found a parking place on a side street and headed in. Held the door open for people leaving, about 12 of them, each one looked at me and said "Thank you". That set the vibe for me, polite and happy people leaving the place. Greeted by a woman staff person and I asked if I could sit at the bar. Right decision. The guy next to me had food I didnt recognize. When I asked he told me it was poached eggs and lobster. OMG! It looked awesome. I just had Lobster last night in Maine so wanted something different. I ordered the Boston Poached eggs..when I was asked how it was... I was speechless! Know from the length of this post that being speechless is not typical for me. This place was so remarkable and extrodinary from its location in a town left for dead years ago to amazing use of space, friendliness of staff and patrons, freshness of its food to the creativity of fare and the details from the linen napkins and tooth picks for the garnish for the Bloody Marys. Okay. I will stop. Well worth my time and money. Left me wanting more.

I love CostCo usually and i never have a problem with any other store in the state. I have written reviews for all the other locations I have been to in the State. GO to another location. I bought produce from them and when i open it up the next day it has mold and it is bad. I kept it in my fridge I am absolutely sure that it was nothing that I did. I tried to return it and the lady literally said to me "Why would you buy it if it was bad?" i told her that it must have been bad when i bought it and I trust them. NO it was not that easy they sat there and argued with me on where i got it and they omited that i bought it from this location. I got stiffed the amount of the produce. I had to call the next day and talk to the Store Manager before i could return something that i bought that was already bad. They fought with me about $9.65 and guess what they lost a cutomer. I will continue to shop at CostCo but no way on earth will i go to that location ever again. That was not the first time i have delt with had customer service from that location. But that was the straw that broke the camels back.

I come here once in awhile to get my groceries. One of the really nice things is how cheap the produce is, they have organic baby spinach and organic kale at a very reasonable price. The rotisserie chicken is also very good but there have been a few times when it has been a bit too dry for me. The rotisserie chicken is very cheap as it covers a few dinners/lunches. When it is wild salmon season, they sell wild salmon a bit cheaper than the other stores. They also have fresh Ahi tuna (I am not completely sure if it was previously frozen like they do at Sprouts) When I come here at night, I usually go for a chicken bake before I go shopping. The chicken bakes here have never disappointed me, especially when you get one straight out of the oven. One of the really great things about Costco is that you can return items without a receipt! Also they have a very generous 90 day return policy on electronics. I would also recommend coming here when you are first moving into an apartment so you can buy some common kitchen supplies such as a pot and pans set, tuperware etc.
