I never write reviews but I feel like it is needed because of what I experienced today. I purchased a sewing machine from Michaels yesterday around 3 pm. I went home and opened the box to see that the sewing machine I purchased was not a full size sewing machine which I needed the full size. I put the machine back into the box the best way I could without ever using it. Today I take it back into michaels around 12pm, stand in line and after getting to the register to tell the cashier I needed to return the sewing machine she immediately tells me, " you wont be able to return this" What are you supposed to say to this? I stand there wait on her while asking me questions I have already answered. She did not want to return it. She gets manager on phone to approve the return finally. After all this is over done the cashier tells me multiple times in a rude way like I am the one "simple" minded that the box is the size of the sewing machine (which is not always the case considering this box was large with lots of card board around the machine). Anyways I will not be shopping with a company who does not want to stand by their products they sell nor their 180 day return policy clearly stated on the receipt. Also another thing which I just read on Michaels website the product must be UNUSED and in its ORIGINAL packaging which mine was but for future customers. Customer service is the cheapest thing a company can offer and this company doesnt offer it in any way.

This store used to be so friendly. Whenever I go in now the front end staff, I think her name is Cathy or Catherine, is honestly the most unfriendly, hateful, rude person ever. I waited in line for a few moments, she was the only cashier, and she completely walked off while I was the only person in line. Then she came back and just looked at me and did not greet me. I tried being nice but couldnt even get a nice reaction from her. She demanded my email and said "have a great day" in a snarly tone.The rest of the staff there is friendly and sweet. Maybe they will hire better front end staff soon.

You can usually find nice bargains on some of their stuff but the store can often seem unorganized and messy. I feel like Hobby Lobby moving in down the street will really hurt them.
