I am a huge fan of "Mom & Pop" style businesses. Although, the employee(s) appear genuinely good Christian folks their business and ethical practices need to be evaluated. I bought two Blade helicopters from them. Blade SR120 /with batteries ($169.99) and a Blade 200SRX / with extra battery ($285.99) That totals ($455.98). The gentleman openly stated his profit margin of ($30 for the SR120 & $40 for the 200SRX). If he was being truthful that is $70 total profit from the sales. This doesnt include any extra parts which he states "Its where I makes my money". They currently have an Blade Apache helicopter ($249.99) I was interested in. I was in the neighborhood so I stopped by to ask if he would be interested in trading both my Blades for his Blade Apache. He stated he would consider it, but would need to see them. I told him that I would take the time to get them and come back. I did just that. After driving back he declined to made the trade. He stated he would lose money by doing so. I attempted to educate him and articulate how illogical his statement was. However, he continued to say he needs to keep the doors open. Had he completed the trade he would have profitted ($70) from the original sales. Lets subtract that from the profit and cost from what he would make on the Apache ($40P $200C) simple math 240-40=$200. Now he is at at a loss of($200). He sales the other two Blades which are now 100% profit. He stated he could get ($200) for the 200SRX and ($85) for the 120SR. So now we subtract the loss from the profit -200 + $285 = $85. That in and of itself is free profit. $85-$70=$15 (free profit). Keep in mind that I didnt factor in batteries and accessories. Now granted it is a small profit but nonetheless I would be at the loss while he gains. I have invested a total of close to $1000 at this store. Now you have lost a customer and have a tainted review. What amount of profits will you lose over time as a result of this? Unfortunately, we will never know. Disclaimer, I am aware that it is their business and can be ran how they see fit. However, it is bad business to mislead and (or) otherwise act without ethics. The gentleman concurred that the two Blades were in great condition. He kept trying to push me into selling it on consignment. He basically mislead me to get the helicopters just to decline the trade and push for consignment. There was also a smart alec kid that I assume is their son that chimed in. I asked, "Why would you say you would consider it without any intent to follow through?" The kid says, that is considering it... It would behoove them to take some time and discover cause and effect.

To give some background to this review. I came in looking for a Model tank kit, as Im a huge tank enthuast, I went in there to find a nice tank! I went to the back where they kept their tanks. Literally there were 5-7 kits, all being overpriced. I had bought one that didnt contain many parts for guess how much? Damn near 60$ while that may not be the stores strong suit, you need to carry more than 7 model kits, then the next time I checked in, the next summer, they had 4-5 model kits just sitting there, they didnt order more! TL:DR: Go in for helicopters, their model stock is absolutely attrocious unless you want a plane.

Very very polite staff. Prices are great. Im one of those annoying customers who kind of looks at everything three times just to look and then leaves with a couple of props, so I can testify to the fact that they arent against looky-loo types. Lol. (That said, Im polite enough to only ask questions about things I want to actually buy). In an era where hobby shops are dying off, this one is still here and theres a good reason for that. I live 40 min away, and Ill gladly drive down from Nashville for even the smallest parts.

Top notch, knowledgable staff. A great selection of RC cars, trucks, planes, helis, and parts for them (and if they don't have it, they put orders in regularly). Mitch is and has been a great help to me, helping take this 4tec off the road. Had a friend go to a chain store and get overcharged 60 dollars for a lipo charger.

I will be returning to this store for all my rc hobby projects.

From the moment I walked into this shop I could tell it was a hobbyers dream come true. Well at least mine. The staff was more than helpful and courteous. If youre in or around Nashville this is by far the place to go. They have everything from RTF kits to Build your own! Just bought a Carbon Z eflite Yak 54 from them and it was in more than working order maiden it with no issues

Absolutely the best hobby shop I have ever been to! Billy and the staff made me feel like family on my very first visit. I am now a regular there. Their knowledge and assistance is second to none. They have a very wide variety of R/C supplies and parts in stock. Prices are very fair. They are my "one stop shop" and I highly recommend them to you!

I have really grown to love this place. Owners are friendly, and knowledgeable. What really sets them apart is a willingness to spend time imparting that knowledge. They really care that you are happy and getting the most out of what you bought. Additionally they are very supportive of clubs and events in the area. Try it, youll be glad you did!

Owner is honest and got great products!! Im glad there is an hobby shop like this close to me! UPDATE: (December 2016) Owner seems like he didnt care about my business or he was tired, regardless, very disappointed because thats no the owner I remember first time I walk to the store. Still, they got great selection.

It was okay they dont work on nitro boats but other wise a cool place to go but what I dont like at all is the black haired guy and he is always there and he is a little bit of a know it all and he is a little bit on the weird side I just dont like the guy he is a drag but he will help you if you will buy something

One of the few remaining "real" hobby shops in and around Nashville. If you are a builder this is the shop for you. They have actual parts in stock and stuff for guys like me who still build. They also have a great selection of electronics as well. Amazing store staffed by amazing people.

Great hobby shop with a little of something for everyone. Its good to stop by and check out what they have on consignment, as theres often good deals. Also if its something you need from Horizon and it is not in stock in the store they can order it and save you the shipping cost.
