Wont do business sadly with the tire and lube department again. Unfortunately had an awful experience in the vision center as well. They declined working on my vehicle a simple oil change that would not take long up to 20 mins I was told. I walked around with my son after him having gotten his shots and was being well at that time, to get the service done. I waited until no longer could we because he became fussy, I went to the back, the manager KIM and the other guy who helped me originally were not there on shift or post, and the guys working there could not find my vehicle on record for repair, they did not notify me that they declined my vhicle for an oil change. I was told directly that I should have been notified immediately and its disgusting that they allowed me to wander the store with my infant son waiting patiently for them to call me back. I do not know how long I would have waited more and further had I not walked back there finally to sit and wait again patiently. 45 minutes spent, and I could have left that damn store within 5 minutes of them noting that they would not work on my car. To top that off, they could not give me clear defining reasons of why they refused service, so I left there not knowing what work was attempted, whether they made a mistake and broke something and that is why they left without notifying me or putting information into the work order on the computer???? I was afraid to drive home to Grinnell but without choice I had to. I simply commented my personal opinion of this woman Kim and her attitude and demeanor, and complained to management... MAINLY to find out what is wrong with my car why i was denied and whether or not i should feel safe to even drive it until I could receieve help from another professional (actual professional) shop. They would not give me answers, and accused me and were rude of things that did not happen. They have cameras. I was a polite and patient customer, they treated me wrongly, DID NOT APOLOGIZE ONCE with any of the managers I spoke to. JUST TOLD that "we dropped the ball" oncertain things that were done wrong, which basically does no good for me. They resisted answering my skmple concerning question of which i had right to know.. WHAT WAS THE REASONING OF DENIAL FOR WORK ON MY CAR>>> WHAT DID THEY TOUCH WHAT DID THEY DO.... and was I safe. simple. took me damn 5 hours later to get the simple straight forward answer. Managers Levi and Christie, and Patrick. Patrick was the one who finally comprehended my concern and directly answered my needed information. Christie was rude in confronting me and accusing me of saying things that were false. They have no customer loyalty. I would avoid and recommend ANYONE avoiding going there. The saving of costs is not worth the hassle and the pains of having to deal with such a rude team of professionals who care more about protecting their wrongful ways and employees, than just making right the wrong and keeping loyal customers. Awful. I will not go back to that tire and lube place, and will do my best to AVOID all of them in any future instances.

I called Wal-Mart to speak with someone in regards to a product I saw displayed there last week. After being on hold for 10 minutes to speak with someone; when they answered the phone, the woman was completely rude. I was asking her about swimming pool products. Her reply was "I cant keep track of what we have in the store. I have no idea what you are talking about. I dont know what that is, you will have to come out and look for whatever it is" This was not in a friendly tone either. The point of me calling was to see if it was in stock. All she had to do is place me on hold and look to see if the product was in stock. This is one of the many reasons people in Newton Iowa desire a Target. This is the reason why we drive to Des Moines or Altoona to shop at Target or even Wal-Mart in other towns. They at least know what good customer service is. The worst part about my 20 minute phone call; I was speaking to a manager. Whoever is in charge of the Newton store needs to clean house. Sam Walton would be rolling in his grave, if he spent 15 minutes in the Newton store. Anytime I have ever gone there and asked any questions; the answer I get is always the same "I dont know" and they never try to help find it or direct you to someone who can assist. So frustrating!!!! Wal-Mart just needs to close this store down. We get better customer service in Pella, Altoona, and Grinnell.

If you arent hip on great customer service and cleanliness, then this is your store. Newton is a small town. Which is where I am from. It consists of the elderly, or meth addicts. The majority at least. Numerous times I have gone in, there is no one in certain areas, whether its jewelry, clothing, food. I typically have to go to the front of the store to a cashier every time I need someone in a certain area. And even at that, I have to wait 5-15 minutes, and I might have to go back up front a second time. The bathrooms arent tended to that well. Seeing as Walmart in Newton isnt all that busy much except holidays, I dont see why it cant be maintained, and I dont see why there isnt someone atleast 50 feet walking distance nearby. I have stopped visiting Walmart in Newton and go to the one in Grinnell (where I work anyways) because its properly staffed and people actually care about customer service there. The main reason I am even writing this review right now, was because I just spent the last 25 minutes on hold at 7:00 p.m. waiting to talk to someone about the fish they sell in aquatics, when I called back and said Id been on hold, I did receive an apology. But after waiting over 10 minutes the second time I gave up.

Its a walmart. You seen 1 you seen them all. This particular one is way understaffed. Any time you need any help in sporting goods expect a 10 to 20 minute wait. A few months ago i took an item in to customer service to return it. I had lost the receipt so i had no expectations. I would have been fine if they just told me no. Instead they made a bunch of insinuations like i had stolen the item. The guy even said had it been another manager they would have taken the item from me. Soooo um yeah probably the lousiest walmart in terms of service.
