This is the best used bookstore in the State of NJ. The prices are wonderfully low, often 10% of the original cost, and you can get incredible jems there. What makes it the special place that it is is the unmistakable love of its owners for books and their constant enriching of the stock. Someone commented that its location is weird; Id say it is rather most amusing. The accidental symbolism of the combination of places that form the "neighborhood" is guaranteed to make you smile: It shares a parking lot with a garage, in a short cul-de-sac that contains within walking distance a club (that keeps on opening and closing as an entertainment location, on account of impossible laws against enjoying life), a jail, and a place that handles bond posting. To reach it you get on John Street from Ridgedale avenue at a point crossed by railroad tracks, by a lumber yard. If you are a true book lover, going there for the first time will be a most pleasant surprise. And youll be hooked for life.

They have a little bit of everything . . . postcards too! A very, very nice selection. I have bought from them since before THEY owned the store. I even sold almost all my books to them when I had to quickly move from NJ to CT (many of which I had bought from them) back in 1979! They are a pleasure to deal with, fun to visit and its always exciting to see whats new and interesting.

A great store with the sweetest owners you have meet. the prices are low and the selection is large, even has a nice collection of rare books at an average price. I highly recommend this store, I drove and hour and half to get there and it was well worth the drive. though in the details it says they take credit cards, they dont they do take cash and checks. weird location though.

Its fun place in the most bizarre location. But... There is good choice of books. All second hand most of them in good shape. Very competitive prive. I ended up buying 4 books... I am NO fan of electronic books. I lile to touch feel turn the pages... Instead of spending 5 min I spent almost an hour. Cool place!

Great book store, eclectic collection, buys used books but pretty selective on titles, some adult magazines in one section, so keep an eye on the kids to keep from wandering into wrong aisle.
