The biggest impression I came away with after visiting the Rutgers bookstore is that it is really expensive. The clothes, especially, were astronomically expensive. It was hard to find a piece of clothing under $20. When most of the stock is t-shirts and hats, that seems a bit high. It seems like the spirit shop in the student union and Scarlet Fever across the street have cheaper prices. I wonder how many students can afford to buy clothes from this bookstore. As for the rest of the bookstore it is mostly Starbucks. For a bookstore, there are very few actual books.

Waste of money and a waste of time. A Starbucks employee charged my card for a drink, left the area to talk to a cashier, came back to make a few drinks for someone else and left. I never got my order. As for books, theyre all overpriced. I have found plenty of my textbooks for lower prices from individual sellers and Amazon. To top it all off, the Wi-Fi here is ridiculously slow. If you value your money and your time, dont bother with this place.

Well-managed and clean with friendly staff. However, the Rutgers merchandise and used textbooks are highly inflated in price. Rutgers apparel can be had for much cheaper if youre willing to look at stores outside of New Brunswick. As for textbooks, you can save hundreds in a year by joining a buy/sell group on Facebook or looking on RU Listings.

Nice place. Used to patronize the place during my 2 years in New Brunswick. I agree that the apparel (first floor) is a bit expensive for an ordinary college student, but the stationery shop (in the basement-like downstairs) is okay and the reading place (second floor) is super-fine (provided u find a chair).

Worst experience ever, I tried contacting customer support for hours and nobody ever picks up. I called during the middle of the day and it would go to voice mail. Not to mention the books are crazy expensive and the apparel isnt affordable for any college student. Go to other textbook retailers.

Horrible! the girl at register did not now what the barns and noble kids club card was (I forgot my sons card at home) she said this store was not the same and did not have the program. I did not have time to stay and speak to a supervisor, my parking meter was about to expire.

This is not a real Barnes n Noble/Starbucks due to the fact that they do not accept BN/Starbucks coupons. The selection of books are small. Despite being a University facility, they do not have the free University Wi-Fi. Products here also tend to be slightly overpriced.

Only used this for Rutgers textbooks. They block internet access in the basement so you cant compare prices. Come knowing prices from renting from amazon so you can compare. Not the best deal. The starbucks in there isnt the best either.

RUTGERS BOOKSTORE!!!! Gotta love this place. Great options for books, very organized. Tongs of Rutger merchandise. Its not only a beautiful location but a wonderful experience. College kids everywhere, but the respectable kind.

As far as I can tell, this listing is for the RAC convenience store, which does sell some books, but not nearly as many as an actual Barnes and Noble location. If youre not looking for a bestseller, dont get your hopes up.

Keshav is a great cafe employee. Busy during semester but good overall. Can be hard to find a spot to study sometimes and they got rid of the cozy chairs to nap in

A significant upgrade to the old Rutgers book store and Starbucks housed inside is forcing the other New Brunswick Starbucks to shape up its business practices

This is a very nice book store. They have some sections for people to sit and read and they have good sales. I recommend it for students.

Nice space, two stories, but most of the first floor is dedicated to selling apparel. Overall though its clean and inviting.
