Rowes is the best caribbean market for latinos. They sell all the "goodies" we are used to buy. They carry "verduras" "bacalao" "platanos" "yuca" etc. They also sell the "junk" like "maltas" "galletas" "pasta de guayaba" etc. I wish we latinos changed our diet to eat a little healthier…I have! But I am not here to criticize anyones diet. I only go to Rowes for the sea food, the "verdura" and all I need to make "sofrito". One thing is very disappointing to me and its that I get the impression management does not care about us!! Several weeks ago my partner complaint to a manager about an opening between the glass doors on the seafood market freezer, which allowed flies to enter and roam around the food. Which we witnessed happening. As per today a month later the opening remains unfixed!!! We all know how nasty flies are!! We dont need to have a Masters degree (but I do have one) to know when we are being neglected and treated poorly. I am so disappointed that the quality of some foods is not "up to part" but it is worse when one complaints and nothing is done. I give this supermarket 3 stars because as Ive said, they cater to us by selling what we like. But would have given them a higher number if the care was shown (when a complaint is placed) and the quality was there!!! I no longer eat meat by choice, but Rowes was for sure a factor. Their meats suck, specially the chicken. It smells bad!! I may stop shopping there all together and give my money to Fresh Farms or Publix!! Come on Rowes, get with the program…We deserve some respect!!! You sure make the money…with OUR money!!!

I will start off by saying, I have shopped this store for a while now and I do like it for the most part. Unfortunately, today i had a bad experience with them which prompted me to leave my basket with their products and leave! I felt I was being followed, as though, I was stealing. My suspicions were confirmed when an employee, seems like the manager, said something to me and not a minute later someone asked for security to come to the front over their intercom. Soooooo, yes, they stereotyped my appearance as a thief so I quickly left. Not only that but beforehand an employee who was sweeping nearly bumped my mother trying to watch her so closely. I will not shop this location anymore and I am truly debating the other location because of this. People are stupid and rude.

They have a decent selection when it comes to hard to find food items in hispanic, islander, and asian cuisine. They are one of the few stores in the area who have Morcillas, and they have decent prices on some items especially in the meat department. The staff isnt too friendly, and it is too cramped in most areas making it difficult to get around though which is why I only gave it 4 stars.

i live in South Carolina and when i have a chance to be on Jacksonville, FL always go here. all the Puertorrican items that we dont have overhere at sc they have it. i really love to shop here at Rowes! i talked with a manager so they open a store uphere but they said no. that is the only bad i need to say about them, otherwise is perfect!

Their Asian section is still a full isle, but their European food selection is almost non-existent. In bus line, easy to see from the street, multiple entrances. Ellos hablan español. Will sell big boxes from produce, cheaper. Everything else seems priced as marked. XL slabs of meat are cheaper per lb!

I like the prices and the customer service. A very wide selection of frozen and fresh seafood and international food. The perfect place to find latin food and ingredients. All Peruvian, Mexican and all Latin america food ingredients are there.

I didnt see much difference in name brand pricing than walmart. Honeslty it seemed pricier for name brand things. Off brand items were cheap, but I dont like not knowing where the meat is coming from.

Nice latino supermarket. Im from Puerto Rico and sometimes is hard to find what I love to use for cook but here I have pretty much what I need. The only thing I dont buy here is meat.
