This store is beyond belief! Never, ever have I ever gone in there and been out in less than 1/2 hr. They are CHRONICALLY under staffed. Yesterday, I went in to buy some thick black ribbon. It took ONE HOUR. Trust me, I looked at other locations before going there, as I try to avoid Jo-Ann at all costs. All I needed was 12 inches of black ribbon. But it had to be cut. There were 7 people in front of me, all waiting to have fabric cut, with two women (usually it is one!) to do the cutting. The poor employees! They were also having problems with the device that they need to price it with. I waited 45 minutes to have one foot of ribbon cut. Another woman was waiting to have some type of decorative rope cut, and she just left before being served. THEN, to boot, you go to the register to pay, of course with the same 7 people in front of you again, and ONE person doing the checking out! So ridiculous. Somehow, someway, I am finding an alternative to JoAnns. I dont care if I have to drive an hour. I would rather drive an hour listening to the radio than moving from line to line n that God forsaken place!!!!!

I went to this location last night in search for fabric to make a sash for my wedding dress. Staff never asked if we needed any help. When we went up to an employee who was just stacking some boxes on a table, she seemed completely put out to be asked a question about toulle and fabric. She barely made the effort to point in the direction of the pattern books so we could figure it out for ourselves. Note: None of us knew the first thing about sewing or fabric. And when it was time to cut our selection, we waited for nearly 20 minutes as one employee helped a lady cut some fabric. The first employee who was uninterested in helping us came behind the cutting counter to help ANOTHER person who just walked up. We were completely ignored. When it was my turn, I told her I needed 4 yards and a little more. So I was deciding how much a little more would be... and she rolled her eyes at me. When I said "4 yards and a foot," and snarkily replied with "4 yards and a 1/3?" Ugh! For the rest of my wedding needs (ribbons and bags), I will be going to Michaels.

I just shopped in The JoAnn store off University Parkway and had the worst experience in my 63 years of age. One of the employees, a short man, probably the manager, obviously with a grandiose ego and some very evident authority issues refused to give me a refund on my credit card because I had all my receipts on hand and did not "organize them" the way he wanted them. Clearly this employee has never heard of courteous customer service and doesnt really care about the store losing customers or money as long as he gets his kicks and fills up his insecure emotional needs. What a shame and what an a stupid way to do business. I will never set foot in that store again. It is amazing to me that corporate office allows such a situation to exist. It doesnt even deserve a quarter of a star !

It doesnt matter which Jo-Ann Fabric store you go to - there is little to no help available and lots and lots of attitude from the staff. Ive been sewing for over 50 years and I am done with this store. Plenty of places online to purchase fabric and notions without the hassle of waiting in line for over an hour to have some disinterested woman cut your fabric. Theres a Hanover Fabric store in Bradenton Ill be checking out. Its got to be better, right???

Terrible visit. air conditioning down, very hot inside. Fabric salesperson insisted on ripping the fabric I wanted cut with scissors, and cashier terribly rude. Maybe it can be blamed on the heat, but not going back.

You wont find a Hancock Fabrics in Bradenton......all Hancock Fabrics stores are closed..........everywhere
