PSA: $2.99 Safeway Deli Breakfast Burritos and sandwiches are what you need in your life right now. Actually shopping at any safeway is expensive an exhausting and miserable. HOWEVER, friends, I discovered the $2.99 all day egg sandwiches or burritos a the Safeway Deli and, let me tell you, it was a game changer . I was really hangry, and then I saw the sign decend from heaven: breakfast all day... $2.99!!! This is exactly what I needed. The deli lady was really sweet and really took her time making my egg and cheese burrito absolutely perfect. It was huge! And $2.99. My standards for breakfast burritos are pretty darn high after living in Texas for a few years . For a $2.99 burrito with pre-made eggs, this was great. Ill probably bring a date here at some point. Heard from equally hangry friends that their croissant egg,cheese, and bacon sandwiches are also on point. tdlr: greatest and possibly only $3 meal in Menlo Park/PA at Safeway.

I work in the same area as this place and I would not buy my food here I constantly have to dig through expired meat which the few times Ive been there all of the beef was expired and where in my store we dont keep anything 2 months until exp and few days ago wanted to get a drink an asked for help from a girl working in the boars thing and she was nice but didnt know about alcohol and brought someone who I guess is the lead of the alcohol dept just asked what I was looking for said do u see it I said no and he just says then we dont have it . And just right now I was trying to buy a lighter and was told 3 different places which I didnt find anywhere and 3 employees were just standing in a group just down the isle which was ALL PET FOOD terrible customer service Check your foods as well as your attitudes I will forsure be going out of my way to get whatever I need from now on .

In the past year this Safeway on El Camino in Menlo Park has gone downhill. Very few cashiers after 10pm so there are often long lines. Deli area is also understaffed or inefficient and the workers stay in the back not noticing when someone wants some food. The employees yell on the public address system and their voices through the overhead speakers and loud and distorted. They need pagers or walkie-talkies to communicate with the other workers and use the speaker system sparingly and only for contacting shoppers. Food selection is good. Store is well-lite. Pharmacy area is a bit confusing. Be a club member and also use "Just4U" on the website to save money. If not for the size, cleanliness, and food selection it would be fewer than three stars.

Pros: Open 24 hours, clean, large, bakery Cons: Crowded, parking, long check out lines ESPECIALLY at night, limited ethnic section Conveniently located if youre in the Stanford area and will solve most of your grocery shopping needs. However, I have my complaints. Its usually crowded during the day so expect long lines. Parking gets crowded too but not to the point where you wont find a spot. Think youll save time by avoiding the lines and shopping at night? Think again. They leave only one register open around 10-11pm and close all the self-checkout lines. It ALWAYS takes at least 15-20 minutes to check out. I wish they would at least leave the self-checkout lanes open.

This is my local Safeway and Id much rather travel to a different location to shop. The lines are ridiculously long, I mean the quality of professional staff is little to none. Not to mention, the staff members complaining of being "short staffed" to their customers. This of course is a personnal issue and should be fixed with management but sadly is not. They do "stocking" during odd hours which of course lead to packed isles. The butcher is ruud! The produce selection is scattered. SIMPLY AVOID THIS SAFEWAY. That is all.

I cant possibly express my level of gratitude for the wonderful gesture done by Assistant Manager Brian Mullins at this store. I live 2 states away, but my Mom lives near this store and is a regular shopper. She became quite ill and couldnt leave the house and urgently needed some items. Delivery normally takes 24 hours. But Brian personally gathered what she needed and drove the items to her apartment. There are still kind and generous people out there!

Well, I would give this Safeway 5 stars but it seems to be notoriously packed to the gills and they never have enough cashiers. That being said, they really focus on the organic produce and hide the non-organic which makes sense for the area. They are also frequently out of bag your own mushrooms which is quite odd. Other than that its pretty typical, parking can be mayhem but they may have some wines for tasting in the beverage section if youre lucky!

Hi. I had to stay the night in the parking lot for a couple nights while traveling in this area. The Safeway was a great place to park and also to hang out. They have a restroom that is welcoming to the public. This safeway has a starbucks with places to sit inside and outside of the store. The Safeway is pretty large and the shopping experience is also good. Good customer service from the employees was friendly and welcoming as always.

Parking lot often too full and one has to circle around a lot and wait for open spot, there were no shopping carts at the entrance where shopping carts are usually stored - so I and others had to walk back to the lot and find randomly placed carts. Then when I got in the store to use the CoinStar machine - it was Out of Order. I had carted in nearly $400.00 of Quarters and Dimes. Wasted trip.

Good selection of food and they carry about everything we need. Checkout however is sometimes understaffed, making unnecessarily long lines. I typically glance over at the register lights and lines when I enter to be sure it wont be a problem when Im ready to leave.

Worst customer service ever....time and time I attempt to shop here and its always something. This most recent trip was the most awful experience Ive ever had at a deli counter...needless to say Ive wont be spending any more of my hard earned money here °~°

They always have deals advertised like Hawaiian Punch, 3 for $5... but you go into the store and they only ordered 12 Hawaiian Punch for the week. Come on guys. Buy a whole pallet, its gonna fly off the shelf, you should know better.

I dont know if it is because i always go at night but its rarely a pleasant time at night. If you dont want to walk over products in-between the aisle come during the day. They always have what im looking for.

It always seems like theres a slow group in front of you at the checkout line, and often the checkout lines are several carts deep. Even during hours that should be quiet, it always takes forever to check out

Fabulous wine section. Ask forTye if you want help with choosing a wine. He knows wines and has been a great help to me in the past. This is like no Safeway you have ever been in. It is Superlative.

Huge store. Beautiful produce. Plenty of gluten free and other allergen free and specialty items. Aisles are quite long and its hard to see whats at the other end but they are well labled.
