I feel for Michael (review on Jan 30, 2010). If I had to move, Id surely miss this place. Its sort of messy, its treasure hunting, its patience-producing. Maybe theyre not computerized but they do know their clientèle and most people like the experience of wading through the shelves, stacks and boxes of books to find what they werent looking for but happy to have discovered yet another special book. Their Audio-book library is vast. I love it. Its a Saturday ritual - the Village cafe for early breakfast, then on to Once Read when they open. And sometimes, a lingering stop at LisCat, oh the delicious yarn!

A treasure of a place with friendly helpful staff. Vintage magazines & books at fair prices. I always find a few books of interest in the clearance sale out front. Plan to spend at least 20 minutes looking. A great place to donate your old books to.

Went looking for a specific title and they knew exactly where it was and led me right to it. Its a great place if you just want to browse. Good prices, especially since a lot of the books are old and unique. Both fiction and non-fiction.
