For New/Expecting Parents: Keep an eye out for their special BlackFriday Diaper box deals. Those are awesome! Its a funny thing but, because their diapers dont have as much absorbing materials as the more expensive name brands in a strange twist of things they helps prevent excessive diaper rashing for my newborn. I tried all kinds of expensive/natural/name brands diapers that caused my newborn to get pretty bad diaper rashes, even though I was changing her diaper every hour/two. Using the cheap Babies R Us brand diapers turned out to work best with my baby for the first month. Who knew? Also, I suggest cutting the top half of the tabs away so they dont hurt your babies tummy when she/he scrunches up in the fetal position.

This place often has the best prices on baby gear and supplies, but their service is sad. I have found the people who work there to be completely unknowledgeable of their products and the checkout lines to be slow and long. I once went in to pick up a cloth diaper spraying hose that attaches to the toilet, and a very nice young man who worked there gave me a discount because he couldnt find the product I wanted (and which their online system said was in stock). But, I had to explain to him what the product was because he had a good idea. The point is this: go there if you already are well informed on what you want and can just go in, get it, and get out.

I hadnt been to a Toys R Us in a years, so Im not sure if this was normal or not, but this store seemed completely rundown. I was glad that I decided to purchase my toy online and opt for the in-store pickup option because wading through that store didnt look like it would be fun. Turns out, I still had to wait at least 30 minutes in line and then at the Customer Service desk while my toy was brought over. I thought the whole point of the email with the subject line "Your order ... is ready for pickup" meant that I wouldnt have to wait for them to bring the toy over? It wouldve been faster for me to just get the toy from the shelf myself.

The store has very good selection and very often good discounts. How ever the stuff is very unprofessional, you have to watch them every single time you buy something that is on discount. The never ever apply the discount unless you tell them. Also they often send you back to the isle with manager to prove the discount. I think this is ridiculous, stuff should be trained much better to know about active discounts.

After calling all stores in the Bay Area for a Nintendo switch Toys r us in emeryville said they had one left. I put it on hold and drove to the store, after waiting in line because their customer servise desk is also their purchasing desk I was told that they just had the port. Not only is the store an unorganized and clostrophobic place, its workers are incompetent at best.

Minimal clothes options and cheap. Have all the basic other baby items. Good selection of toys, but why do they agree to organize by manufacturer? I have no idea who makes the toys I want. I only know how old my child is and wish I could go to the age-appropriate aisle. If this is company policy it is stupid and not customer-centric.

I bought a toy for $50 and when I went to return it for it not working even after replacing the batteries, I was refunded for $30. NOTHING on the receipt told me that. NOBODY when buying mentioned that. I felt betrayed. If theres details your customers should know about returing or exchanging you should say so BEFORE check out.

I have had one or two bad customer experiences here with unhelpful staff. The selection is good, but honestly there are better prices out there. If you need something fast for a quick present, this will work, but dont get your hopes up for a great deal or stellar service.
