I was embarrassed to go into a sex shop but my doctor told me to go to Babeland to get a pocket rocket and some lubricant. Following her advice I did and boy was I impressed. The staff was so very helpful and sweet. They made me feel normal and not alone. I had felt like an aging, boring, sexless woman needing help, and they made me realize that I am not alone and that there is no shame in using lube or vibrators. They were very knowledgeable about the ingredients in the lubrication and all the settings on the toys. I even got a book of erotica and and some massage candles. My husband and I have really enjoyed everything I bought and it has helped our sex life tremendously. We have been in couples therapy for months talking about our lack of a sex life and all it took was my doctor "prescribing" me a vibrator. Really Babeland, you changed my life and I can never thank you enough.

Positive healthy atmosphere. I have only recently begun feeling comfortable with my body. Going to any store of Babelands nature was a huge step for me. Anywhere else and I wouldve been queasy, embarrassed, and running out the door. But, luckily, because of a positive review in my "I Love Female Orgasm" book (life changing) it was Babeland that I went to. There is nothing smutty about this store. Due to the bright and friendly atmosphere (literally... the walls are painted orange and pink) I was able to browse, ask questions, and leave with some awesome stuff for myself.

I was expecting a lot more from this place, and was sorely disappointed. The store is a tiny little shop on the street, and you can see the entire store from the front door. Not that theres much to see. I was greeted with cheesy novelties at the entrance, and a very tiny selection of toys in the back. Not much to choose from, and what little there was wasnt that great. If youre not picky and want to feel like youre not in a sex shop, this is the place. Otherwise, go somewhere else.

The store is small and has a limited selection. However, my biggest issue is that they do like having men in the store. When I went with my wife (3 times) they barely said hello to me and only talked to my wife. Once, when I went alone looking for a gift for my wife, they didnt even say hello to me and gave me awkward looks like they wanted me to leave. I wont go back and will discourage my wife from going as well. I guess they plan to survive with only the single female crowd!

Super helpful staff and very knowledgeable. The most diverse in-store selection of gender expression products I have come across. Felt very comfortable and safe in the store and being a trans guy that was a HUGE deal to me. The two employees were so easy to talk to and I never once felt awkward in our interactions. Found what I was looking for and something extra too. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO THE BABELAND STAFF!!!!

BABELAND!!!! What can I say? This place is a Seattle icon, for good reason. This place is totally about matching the people who walk in the door with the right product for them. Boy, girl, bi, straight, queer--Ive seen everything and everyone in there, and no one bats an eye. They also make sure to battery test everything that needs batteries before it leaves, so you dont end up with a no-go toy.

This was my first time in the store. Ive always heard good things over the years but I was finally kid free for the night so me and hubby stopped in. The staff was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They were able to help me figure out exactly what I was looking for and even had a few options. They had a great selection of toys and accessories too. I highly recommend stopping by.

I had a wonderful experience at Babeland!! The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend going to see them. The store was well lit and did not make me feel uneasy. If youre trying to avoid going to some of the skeezy Adult Shops this is the place to go! Finding parking was a bit of a challenge, but it was totally worth it.

Sex toy shops often get it wrong. They market to people who are more interested in unrealistic expectations and titillation. Babeland on the other hand knows that sex is a great way to show love and to have fun. From handcrafted toys to upscale ones, this store is at once inviting and premium. Definitely a great store!

Im originally from New York (and the different locations there are pretty different from one another), so after moving to Seattle I wasnt sure what to expect from this location...but I love it! Its nice and clean, bright, and the staff are so, so helpful. Always a pleasant experience!

I LOVE this store! The selection is great and the staff is AWESOME! They dont mind if you stop in to browse and they dont mind answering any questions you might have. They will also walk you through how to use your purchases before you leave the store!
