I dislike this BRU so much. Their customer service is non existent at the front desk. Phone calls are more important than a live physical customer in front of them. Id purchased an item that was obviously a prior return, torn packaging had been taped. It was the only one left. When I got home I realized it was missing the clips necessary for the product to work. I went in to return it and made sure to tell them this item was missing the most important parts. The associate didnt offer to order me a new one. She just returned my money. On my next visit, I decided to check if theyd gotten any more in...and there was the same item I had returned before with no note or discount on it. Posing as a new product. Another example, I tried to buy my son a step stool. BRU has several on display, but theyre all filthy from being used (maybe the employees?). After a couple of months of never seeing any new products show up on their shelves I decided to buy one and see if I could get a discount. Nope. The sales lady told me I would need to go home and scrub it myself. When I argued that I wasnt going to pay full price for an item I had to fix she shrugged her shoulders and didnt offer any other solutions. So I didnt buy it. and there it still sits, filthy, on their shelves. I use BRUs diaper boosters. Theyre great. I guess Im the only one who uses them b/c theyve been out of them for about 5 weeks. I decided to ask a clerk to help me. She looks it up and says they dont have any and its a "shipping" problem. Frustrated b/c this is a very needed product I go online and order them. They arrive 2 days later!!! So why cant the store get them in?!?! Moral of the story, if you need multiples of something, buy all of them b/c theyll likely never order anymore (I still havent seen the first product replaced on their shelve and that was about 6 months ago). If its damaged or missing, forget it. Youre out of luck.

The first time I went there I was amazed of how big the store was. Had a problem at checkout. Dont remember so I went there again thinking why didnt I return to the store again? Well at checkout i was reminded of why. I was approaching a teen behind the register. I asked him where to checkout and he pointed to a register at the far end of the store. Went there. The cashier was helping a costumer. The line started to grow behind me. The was a "manager " doing their cashier performance thing. When she finish with the costumer they just started to chat behind the register ignoring all the costumers on line. Then she just removed her name badge and said "I am off". All in front of her "manager" or whatever she was. Then she says. " you can checkout at costumer service". I turn around and realized she was pointing at the teen that earlier refuse to helpme. At this point I was very frustrated and didnt want to ever return due to the bad costumer service. AND thats when I remembered that the first time had been a bad experience as well.

This is why I like this store. They were out of Rock Band for X-Box 360. They were also out of the new Star Wars game. I have a nephew who was salivating over the prospect of murdering Bon-Jovis "Dead or Alive" with his friends. The guy at the store not only ordered both games for me, he even matched the price I had found on Amazon. I didnt have a coupon with me or anything. When my own kids get old enough for non-Nerf toys, this store will have my business! I dont plan to get them into video games though! Sorry. Nephews birthday came last month, and he was jumping for joy when I gave him his present. The little devil cannot carry a tune and his parents just shake their heads when they see him "ripping" the electric guitar thinking that hes Jimmy Page or something. But a happy kid on his birthday is a good thing, huh?!

So this Indian muy chode, Shawn sells me a $.02 item. My supervisor tells me I can be fired for buying that. Then why the HELL is it on the Sales floor?!?!?!?! Ummm this place is pulling my leg enough. This is what I call employee abuse. I quit. Any question LOL. IM OUT. The job was on me, they had me doing EVERYTHING. GUESS WHO will do it now. Thats right a underpaid *&^%#. The place is a circus freak show.

Horrible customer service! There is only one lady that actually knows what shes doing and is friendly. Even the workers will tell you that nobody knows what theyre doing. I only come here when I know I for sure am not going to return something. Its like five minutes away from my house, but Id rather drive to Redwood City than come here.

I dont know why the rating is low. From my own experience, theres a large collection of different toys and prices are good. Aisles are clean. Deduct 1 point for some of the parents and kids behaviors, as they toss toys around after playing, making the staff a very hard time to re-shelve.

Pluses: Huge store is half babies-r-us / Half toys-r-us, big Lego and videogame/media sections, laid out well. has pretty much everything you could order online. Cons: Pushy upsells and wouldnt let me try out the high-priced scooter I was buying (they did show it to me, though, so OK)

Probably the only Toys R Us store around the peninsula area. It has a large selection of nearly everything they offer online except that you get to touch it. Depends on the day you go it can be really crowded with kids. Its a toy kid heaven.

They have Clairs small store inside Toys r us but you cannot return any Clairs item bought else where. In general store is pretty decent and have tons of choices to select from. Good star war collection.

These yahoos DO NOT PICK UP PHONE CALLS!!!! If you can, go to the Colma or Redwood City store. The service there is so much better. Representatives are friendly and helpful.
