I just had one of the best customer experiences at this OSH. I was shopping with my mom for appropriate plants for my Chameleon terrarium. The guy comes out of nowhere and asks us if we need any help finding anything. We told him what we were looking for and not only did he know about appropriate live plants for my lizards, he was an expert in bonsai planting too. We picked out two plants to go in our cage with my chameleon. He planted them in a pot for me, and told me how to manipulate my plant to slowly get it to arc into a bridge. Such amazing care and great customer service. He was friendly and knowledgeable the entire time. Shout out to Adam for helping us. My mom and I definitely felt like we were in the right place.

Asked a sales person in tools if they had a spindle sander and they didnt know what that was. Asked someone in the garden department if they had Crape Myrtle trees and they didnt know what they were. Found what I wanted on their web site and it said "store purchase only" - went to the store and not only did they not know the item number but said it could not be ordered in any why, shape or form. Interesting...

Love OSH! Friendly and helpful staff. Love their rewards program too! Great selection of merchandise in every department. Its my go-to variety store. I personally dont like roaming the big box stores on the south end of Chico. Often hard to get help! And just too many people out and alot more traffic.

Orchard Supply is a big-chain (owned by SEARS?) hardware store without the variety of a great hardware store like Colliers in downtown Chico.
