This location is near where I live and seemed a pleasant enough place to seek employment. The manager was rude, insensitive and judgmental. She instantly berated me when I asked if I could apply for a position while offering my resume to her. Even upon initially walking over to speak to me, she seemed irritated and gave me an "up and down" glare. She proceeded to aggressively go on this tangent about how she cannot "see what you look like, cannot see the color of your skin, cannot even see your face" before considering me for a position due to corporate policy. Now I completely understand the corporate policy part; however the way she addressed me made me feel rather attacked for my appearance --as if my race or background did not meet her standards and she didnt have time to talk to me on a genuine, compassionate level. I was shocked that she thought it was appropriate to speak to someone like that. Will NEVER go to the location again if I can help it. Thanks a lot, Christina. Oh, and was warned about the management and their treatment toward their employees... shouldve listened to that sage advice!

Avoid at all costs! The manager is extremely rude and condescending. I was just grabbing a coffee at the Starbucks and decided to sit and get some work done. I plugged in my charger for my computer. She told me very rudely that it is a safety hazard which I understood so I sat closer to the outlet so the cord wouldnt trip anyone. She approached me again and condescendingly told me that "We cant have this. Its a bookstore and were not meant for school projects. The library is right across the road". Wtf I was doing work for a top insurance agency. Regardless, so rude in the way she addressed a paying customer and extremely uncalled for!

One of the only west coast brick and mortar bookstore chains left. So even if it sucked Id give it a good rating. Fortunately B&N is a pretty good bookstore. Whats good about it youre probably not asking? Not the prices. The good stuff are never on sale. The chairs. Yes, the chairs. Being able to sit and read part of a book before I decide its worth the read, is a luxury not afforded online most of the time. That in itself is 4 stars. Add the Starbucks for the fifth star. I did subtract 1 star somewhere but honestly, I forgot where it went.

The Calabasas Barnes & Noble offers wonderful community events, opportunities to meet authors and delicious coffee.The Calabasas Commons is a destination mall, where you can browse fascinating books, see a movie and have a divine dinner. It is a real treasure to our small town.

Believe me, this one is way better than the one I just went in studio city. I went to the one in Studio City because is closer to my home. There are no chairs to sit, the aisles are to tight, and no starbucks. This one here is further away from home but is worth it.

This place is rude and the owner lies. She says whatever she wants to get her way. I wish they closed this sh**thole which never has any books I need and open a pharmacy. It would be a better place for kids to learn. Dont go its a rip off.

I love this Barnes and Noble, its in the perfect location and the atmosphere is so cozy and inviting. I spent the last 4 hours here just reading by the window. Not once was I bothered or distracted.
