I love this store. I dont particularly understand the need for the café. I go there to browse and buy books, etc., not eat and drink. But thats hardly a criticism. I wish the lines werent so long at times and that the reference/desk was better staffed (i.e., more people). I bought a Nook (after having a Kindle) and I love it. And I got help at the store when I needed it. Id buy another one in a heartbeat. Their staff genuinely seems happy to work there. And for better or worse, that always shows.

Nice bookstore! Free wi-fi! A small coffee shop inside sells nice coffee and treats, but its not a Starbucks like it is made out to be (and priced to be). I love taking my son in to browse their items, but rarely purchase them in the store as they are marked way up - for example, my son loved the old Simon game I used to play as a kid. It was $25 at the store, but I checked Amazon and its $15. So, knocking off a star due to their high markups. But, great place to browse.

I think Ive said this before, but here we go: sure, you can save a couple bucks on books buying online or from Wally World, if you want, but then you are just sending your money to another city and another state. Barnes & Noble has the best selection, cool, helpful employees, and genuinely cares about books and about Thousand Oaks. Plus its a great place for kids birthday parties. Youll always walk out of Barnes & Noble with a smile.

Very large location with an upstairs. Very clean and organized. Friendly staff. There is a decent amount of seating in the cafe. One negative is not enough seating throughout the location or even upstairs. They do have some chairs upstairs but no tables and the cafe hardly has any access to outlets. Itd be a lot easier to stay if outlets/tables were available.

A good option for old fashion shopping for reading material. If you enjoy being surrounded by books, this is a comfortable place. You can still find people sitting in the aisles reading a book and exploring their thoughts. Grab a Starbucks at the front of the site to read your purchases.

Very warm and cozy area with a second floor that leads to a (mostly) teen section. They have all the books you need for school there so B&N discounts make it worth it because its much faster than any Amazon 2-day Prime shipping could be. They also have a very good return policy!

Dont buy a Nook. You cannot get support for it. There is never enough help in the store. They make excuses all the time. The one star is for those who help when you just want to buy a book. Youll have to wait for that help, but they will provide it if you wait long enough.

Great selection of gifts and books. I went here during the busy holiday season and even though the parking lot was a zoo and the checkout line was long, the staff were collected and friendly despite the chaos. Located in an area with many other great shops.

Great place to sit and relax and read, needs a few more chairs, but I dont think they could ever have enough chairs for everyone. There starbucks is amazing and the only place that always gets my orders right, and they are quick and understanding.

Good collection of books. They have a cafe in the inside that serves starbucks. It is also a good place for students to sit down and work on assignments together. The tables are limited though especially with outlets.

the WiFi says 54 mbps but when you try and download its about 1 mbps. also during the day it has a weird sorta fishy smell but usually it airs out by the evening.
