I went into the Ventura store today. My Nook was melting (yes, literally) at the plug in point. The kids at the counter said it was an obvious defect. They looked up my account and even though I had bought a 2 year extension contract it ended last May. I did nothing to the Nook. It was defective, but they did NOT stand behind it. I asked if I could get a refund on my unused books, they said "when you buy your new device, they will work on it". I assured them I would NOT be buying another color Nook at the price I paid if it is only going to last 3 years! They just shrugged their shoulders. Dont buy a NOOK unless you plan to replace it every 3 years. It is NOT worth it. They are standing behind their product. I want the old ways back. A defect is a defect.

BIG SECTION BIG CROWDS.. I have only been to this store 3 times on Friday and Sunday so maybe during the week this review and the store could be different ! ! 1. Large store 2 stories but with so many people not a single place to sit down and sort pile of books. (I try to keep my trips under $50.00) 2. The computer is incredibly inaccurate and a employees are hard to come by but if you do get a hold of one they are incredibly nice. 3. Long line for everything coffie, purchase, and questions. 4. WITH ALL OF THE CROWDS. The store is still incredibly clean and parking was easy . 5. Poor travel section. I was looking for hiking books in California none but lots of spa books. Travel books to France only 6 total.

DO NOT TRY AND MAKE A PHONE ORDER. i just had the rudest and most unprofessional experience trying to order a book over the phone. 1. the person did not know how to take an order (me: so, do you need my credit card information? oh you are just looking for a pen, okay....me: the book will arrive in 3-4 days? her: yeah i think thats how they do it. me: ok, do you have all the information you need? her: i dont know i will call you back if i need to.) AHHHHHHHHH. then, 45 minutes later was called back by a VERY rude employee who basically accused me of identity fraud for trying to ship a gift. not okay.

This store has a a young Mexican in a hoodie at the corner and a gestapo looking Europe guy next to his beer in the parking lot. The Mexican came in acting retarded and then the albino gestapo came in on foot patrol. If you are poor in Southern California just close the door and walk away. This is no place for an American of the lower caste. Radiation was in the area from a nuke at sea in 1983. The propaganda song states he loves l a. The truth is they hate you poor gringoes. Stay away from so cal is my advice They are racist and mean as hell

I was reading the bad reviews - Ive never placed a phone order here so I dont know about that but, it is fantastic just being in the building. There is music playing, books at all level of pricing, you can get coffee, you can hang out as long as you want looking at magazines or whatever, there is wi fi. Ive studied there on the upper balcony, Ive found fantastic books. You gotta love one of the few books stores left around. Yes, you can order from Amazon and I do that too but, its just not the same.

Okay... Im a bookaholic! I LOVE READING! So obviously this place would get a good review, but the place is great! Multiple genres to choose from, mini-Starbucks, great workers, a friendly atmosphere, and the list go on and on. When I walk in and run up the escalator (to where all my favorite genres are)! I would DEFINITELY recommend this store to a friend! Its very kid-friendly and holds many events! They had a fundraiser for my school MULTIPLE times! Just go and look for yourself!

If you need to find a book, this is the place to visit and purchase that book! This Barnes & Noble has two stories full of books and even a Starbucks inside, in case you need to drink a cup of coffee while doing some research or simply doing some casual reading. They have a great section of childrens books on the second floor and even host story time, as well as other activities, for children. The only downside, is the ridiculous high prices for DVDs, blu-rays, and CDs.

I absolutely love reading, and when I first saw this building, it was huge! I was so excited!! And I definitely wasnt disappointed- there was a great selection of teen/young adult books. The staff was kind and friendly, and the atmosphere was great. Plus, theres a small Starbucks inside near the front- its a great location.

This is a fantastic Barnes & Noble. Seriously, it’s huge! Great books, good employees and lots of books! You seriously couldn’t ask for better. I love that there are still book stores around where you can go spend an afternoon, read some books, drink some tea and buy something to keep them around in the community.

Its still a joy to walk among the shelves and look at the books to the left or right of the one you had in mind...and seeing something you never thought of!! Buying books online will never take the place of that feeling. B&N needs to be kept alive. Plus they have a coffee stand.

This B&N is not particularly better than any other B&N. They are all good at provide comfortable service! But, operating the escalators continuously during the business hours is against my idea of the efficient energy conservation! Bad, bad, baaaaaad interior design!

This Barnes & Noble is quite large and beautiful. It has a variety of different books to nooks to choose from. Its two stories with a balcony on the second floor that you can snack at and has excellent service. This is the Barnes & Nobles you want to take a look at.

This is a fabulous Barnes & Noble, even some cozy areas upstairs to read, and the cafe is comfortable enough to review a book over coffee or a snack. Staff was friendly, but no one questioned if I needed assistance as I was browsing for a book.

They are in the habit of only carrying the newer items. Older stock seems to be something thats hard to get, but its doable. As well priced as they used to be, but still unless fairly decent pricing.

Very nice service very wide selection of books and even a small selection of movies but bit expensive not to much though and the books were kind of mixed up but thats mostly the peoples fault.

Poor attitudes (uninformed clerks, blase about no guarantee on delivery dates), thin selection once you get beyond the best-sellers. Go on-line to get better service and unlimited selection!

Quiet place with extremely helpful staff that always seem to know where a book youre looking for is located. You can also just come by to read a book for they have places to sit upstairs.
