Ive been shopping at Beauty Center in Berkeley for a few years and everything was fine until they started scheming on payments in the store. The store clerks have been pulling tricks in the past, but the final straw was today. I had gotten up to $50 saved via a store purchase punch card. With this card, Ive been purchasing more products. However, the cheeky store clerk final pulled the last straw. Apparently the store "switched" to a "new system" so all the money I had saved up by buying purchasing was no longer valid. Even though my savings punch card had not expired, and that I saved $50 was no longer usable. This is bull****. The clerks have played so many games with me over the past couple years that Ive had enough. Only the products are worth five stars, the store is only worth one.

Love this place! The staff have always been really fantastic. They go above and beyond with answering questions and giving helpful, honest advice on anything in the store. The selection is great, all the best quality brands and a wide selection. I am kind of a cheapskate and I pay for a lot of my hair/nail care supplies here because their prices are very fair and they often have sales on certain selections. Most recently about 20-30 different colors of Opi nailpolish were 50% off. In the 12 years I have been coming here, the experience has always been stellar, and my beauty routine at home has often been well guided by the staff here.
