Aldi is a lower food cost option for people who dont mind purchasing an off brand food item for quite a bit lower cost. There is nothing wrong with this food...it is simply lower cost. This store is usually quite busy. You will need a quarter ($.25 cents) to release a cart, and when you return the cart you will receive the quarter back. Each isle`s cart direction goes one way. You cannot turn around and go the opposite direction because the isles are narrow and there is no room to turn around. There is quite a variety of food offered here, including seasonal items. You must bring your own bags or buy them when you get there, they also will not bag your groceries for you, that is your job. There is a counter provided to assist you with bagging the groceries. Once you get used to the system it is quite easy to get your shopping done and very cheaply. My family and I do our shopping here every month and save a ton of money. Give it a try, the staff is friendly and helpful, and someone is always available to answer any questions you have. There isnt any deli, but there is a variety of sliced meat and cheese available to choose from.

I really am becoming a fan of the Onalaska/La Crosse Aldi! Ive never been a big Aldi shopper or fan - no particular reason: just havent been. My wife, however, has and is. We went in this past weekend, and, while they are currently renovating/remodeling, I was impressed with both the quality of the selection and value! The quality of their meat and produce are some of the best Ive seen in a long while, and the savings remind of of when I was a kid - going shopping with my family AND getting a lot for $70-80. You cant say that with too many places anymore - most places you pay an arm-and-a-leg and walk out with barely half a cart. At Aldi, youve got great selection and great savings! Im looking forward to their completed remodel to see what new savings they have to offer!

Terrible service! I was in your store today and picked out a few items to buy. I was approaching the check out when the young man said he was closed and I need to go to the next check out. There was no checker there. I waited a few minutes and got out of line to let a supervisor in the store know that customers were waiting. She then called on the walkie talkie to find the girl that was supposed to be ringing customers up. No one showed up for another minute or two. This was absolutely terrible customer service and I will not be back to shop again. Figure out were people need to be in your store and never leave customers waiting. Ridiculous!

I go there every week. Real groceries without brand-name markups! If you read a random negative comment here, just remember, it is likely one of "those" customers who wear their attitude like a banner. Warms my heart to know those people arent coming back. Great store with great food. Regarding bags--you dont HAVE to bring your own, they sell them, plus many people use Aldis empty boxes. Aldis prices are low partly due to cost cuts like cart retrieval and bagging. I love the ingenuity.

This Aldi will take credit cards. Not all do. Woodmans down the street doesnt, but still a great store. The selection here keeps growing. The prices are better than Walsmart I think, and the quality is WAY better, I know. Bring a quarter to unlock a cart and reusable bags (or pay for some). If you want the very nicest produce, Festival often has them beat by a small margin, but youll pay for it.

The check out lady Sarah was very rude and non friendly. We asked her to slow down so we could separate our food into sperate bags she said she is doing her job. No Im apology and seemed to be in a bad mood. This was one of the worst experience in a grocery store I have ever had. Will not recommend this place to anyone I know.

Aldis is definitely my favorite grocery store. All the food products, and other items, are very high quality and foods are full of flavor. The prices are lower that anywhere in the area. I really cant say enough. Its GRRRRRRATE!!
