This store is above average. The only downside is that the prices tend to be a bit high on some items. It is as good as any other grocery store. Walmart is always cheaper on regular groceries...hard to believe..right?. The produce is average...slightly above maybe..it looks good though. The good -very friendly staff, very professional staff, the staff is simply the best in town. This is true for the La Crosse and Onalaska store....and Holmen store -Clean store -Nice deli -Really knowledgeable butchers -Nice bags (bring your own and save 5 cents per bag) -Liquor selection is good. Beer selection is great. If they are out of a certain one, they will call the other store. Prices are fair. -Did I mention the people working there seem to be really friendly. They must pay them well...none of my business I guess. -Also, I emailed them via there "contact us" on the website and the returned my inquiry within an hour. They told me they have it and the exact location in the store..it was awesome. I have updated this posting after going to this store more. The store is consistently good..which is hard to say for most business. I am bumping their rating to 5 stars.

The selection may be good but the customer service and pricing in comparison to other food retailers are much less impressive. Happened to be one PENNY short for my purchase today, forgetting my wallet at home so I had to make due with what I thought was enough. Feeling very embarrassed I asked if the cashier happened to have a penny. She gave me a pretty disgusted look and simply said "no," continuing to stare at me until a customer in line happened to be kind enough to cover the 1 cent I was missing. To that individual, if you read this, thank you again for your kindness. To Festival corporate... take into consideration that your cashiers have a huge influence on your companys image and a penny worth of compassion can go a long a way.

My Grandma Olga shopped at the original Skogen s when Paul Skogen was there. I worked in the original bakery behind that old store with Margaret and Paul. I was also a frequent shopper at Center 90. When you opened the new Festival store I was happy to see your dedicated employees still with you. Your produce is always fresh and the display is always well organized. The deli and meat departments are always well stocked and if something is there I can always order. Your stores are kept clean, your shelves are neat and accessible and your staff are always friendly, smiling and helpful. This is what makes a customer want to return and tell their friends that they should shop there. You have earned and deserve your 5 stars!

I am Gluten free and was excited to see Festival starting to expand their GF department. But at what cost. My favorite loaf of Glutino bread is $6.49 a loaf at Festival and only $3.99 at Woodmans. The list goes on I find that every GF item that I could compare was anywhere from $1 - $2.50 more at Festival. This saddens me and I feel like in the GF area I am being taken advantage. The stores are nice and clean and their produce beats Woodmans any day of the week and happy to pay a little more for produce that will last more than a day or two. Looking forward to the opening of the Holmen Store that is the one I normally shop but GF is limited due to shelf space so have to shop in Onalaska and La Crosse.

I was thoroughly impressed by Onalaska Festivals Bakery. I ordered a cake and on the day I was supposed to pick it up, I realized I ordered the wrong size. At noon I called and checked to see if I could change it, willing to pick it up the next day even. The Bakery team was amazing! They updated my order to the size I needed, and completed the cake by by 4 in the afternoon...THE SAME DAY. Gold Star to Festivals Bakery Team in Onalaska!

The store itself is clean but I called the deli once already and told the manager that the workers are not wearing gloves when using the spoons to get the salads for the customers. I mean really gross, are the workers really that lazy that they cant put gloves on? Im not eating from the deli anymore, who knows what else theyve handled without gloves on.

This is a great store! Marty in the meat department is the greatest guy you can ever meet! He knows so much about the business. He knows how to treat customers really well! As he told me, the store doesnt treat people who come into there like customers, they treat them like family and thats what he does every single time!!!

I love Festival foods....but......I feel they should be closed on thanksgiving...These employees deserve to have a holiday just like the owner/owners of the stores. This world seems to be all about the mighty dollar. We need more business that value family first...

Always loved stopping here while traveling. Stopped in on a Sunday and their deli counter was packed! (A great sign) The hot/cold deli counter was fantastic. Great place to stop or shop while passing through.

Nice enough place, but there isnt much selection for basic items. They were missing some of the herbs I needed, as well as basic Asian food like rice noodles. Also, self checkouts here can be slower than usual.

I really like this store. Its well laid out, has great deli, produce, and meat departments, and even surprises shoppers with unannounced sales on specific items. It does get busy in the early evening hours.

People need to keep their kids from running all over. This is not a playground! I hit one kid who ran in front of me with a cart there was no place for me to go. Food choices are good and love the deli!!!

This store has a nice clean atmosphere. The best way to shop here is with their weekly sales. Many of their everyday items are a bit more expensive.
