Dear Chairman Bob: It makes me sad to have to write a negative review, so let me start by saying this was once a lovely store that lived up to its claim of having a great selection. The one saving grace now is the people who work there. They are always nice, and very helpful. Recently (I would say about several months ago), the store underwent a major "reorganization." All inventory got rearranged, but more important, they got rid of most of their better brands. From pastas to soups, and from peanut butter to greeting cards, all the good stuff--is now gone, with "Roundys" being the dominating brand in nearly every isle. So really, Metro Market is, for the most part, just like any other Pick N Save... except for the many cases in which things are outrageously priced. Today, as I was shopping, I actually got depressed by my lack of options, and at the fact that almost every time I look for one of my special items, it is out of stock. Did I mention that the produce department has really gone downhill? It has. Dont even get me started on the Wine and Spirits. Oh, and the Roundys "Select" Triple Chocolate Gelato has no chocolate chips in it (as the cover image might lead you to believe)... in case anybody was wondering. (And this is starting to sound like The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.) Most likely, I will now go out of my way to shop at Whole Foods, Outpost, Trader Joes, Gloriosos, or Cermak, once their new store is open, as opposed to shopping at Metro Market which is conveniently located around the corner from my home. Such is life.

After being angry every time I went to the pharmacy at ANY Walgreens or CVS because I had to wait so long, I switched to Metro Market Pharmacy a few years ago. Ill never return to Walgreens and CVS. The staff at Metro Market are helpful, friendly, courteous, and quite prompt. Before switching to Metro Market, I was a bit hesitant, thinking I was just getting another larger pharmacy who did not provide adequat service. But I was wrong. As an added bonus, they even give 1 coupon per prescription purchase. When you accumulate 5 of them, you get a $10 gift card to be used in the grocery store. In addtiion, there is ample parking available. If you are thinking of leaving any of the big-box pharmacies and want real service, switch to Metro Market pharmacy.

Love the meat department! Pricey but worth it...everything is top grade and fresh. PRODUCE SUCKS! They dont rotate the fruit or packaged veggies. I have gotten so many rotten premium oranges and especially berries there - it kills me to spend that much on rotten fruit!! And I dont notice it until I go to open the package how horrible they are. Lets talk about bagged broccoli...Never buy it! Rotten all the time. Get your act together produce dept...Im sick of paying up the wazoo for less-than-Walmart grade produce!

This place is way too trendy and complicated for me! Who needs a two story grocery store! With chandeliers?! Come on. It is great that they have a wide variety of products. I havent been here much, but it seems like they could have some things that are hard to find elsewhere. But from I have seen, it is over-priced! It is definitely more here than other nearby places. Plus, it is always crowded and noisy! Safe your money and your sanity and go somewhere less "fashion-forward" and more down-to-earth instead!

This place is unbearable. The employeess are somehow always in the way when shopping. Which is strange because so many items are not stocked, and the shelves in general are a disaster. They also bring out pallettes of stock during business hours, making movement even more treacherous. Then clientele will bump into you with their carts or body (luckily for me I recognize them before they make contact and tense my shoulder to deliver a nice pop). Simply put, avoid this grocery store if at all possible.

This has more or less been the place to visit if were in need and not closer to the Pick n Save on North Ave. Each visit has had its ups and down, though most issues have been dealing with parking or other customers. Products are plentiful and shelves are mostly well-stocked. Deli never looks fresh, though the workers behind the bar are very nice. Pretty standard Roundys shopping stop.

This is by far the best super market I have ever been to. The Metro Market has great selection for whatever your looking for (organic, natural, name brands, generics.) The staff is also pleasant and will to help. After college I moved away from the Milwaukee and no Jewel or Domonicks I have encountered (dating all the way back to my youth) can even come close.

The quality of this store has gone down over time. I frequently see damaged containers, refrigerated items left out in non refrigerated areas, etc... Their selection is lower than it once was as well. They do not carrying some basics and run out of essential items easily without restocking. They do however have a robust fresh seafood and deli selection.

While the prices for everyday groceries are on the high side, Metro Market has gourmet and other foods you can find quickly and convenient. Plus they have the BEST cupcakes! It is a great place to stop if you need to pick up picnic foods (for Jazz in the Park or Florentine at Alterra) or a quick meal near downtown Milwaukee.

Ive been shopping here for years and the quality of the produce has really gone downhill. Potatoes that start sprouting the day after getting them home, avocados that are about a week before getting ripe so they are extremely tough. I will still shop here for other groceries but they lost me forever on the produce.

I like the way the store is laid out and theyre certainly benefitting from being the only show downtown but the staff was short and the self service was cumbersome. All in all a great value geocery store, getting checked out is a hassle. Deli guys were really helpful.

Sometimes feels like youre shopping in the old Soviet Union. The shelves arent very well stocked. Sometimes all thats left of certain items is the food thats near expiration. They seem to carrying fewer and fewer healthy options.

Metro has a lot if surprisingly good food. I especially enjoy their fresh donuts and sushi. However, their prices are high, even with a fresh perks card, and the produce is extremely lackluster.

We stumbled upon this market as were staying just across the street at the Plaza Hotel, wow this place has it all, from the deli to the meat counter and the bakery this place has it all.

Everything you need in a grocery store plus specialty sections for meats, gelato, sushi and more. Walkable location for traveler that wants to eat in rather than sit in a restaurant.

I had to seek assistance from the customer service desk, during my visit to the Metro Mart today. Kathy was the individual who assisted me. She was they extremely kind and helpful.

Word of advice: dont make your own six-pack of beers. Half of the beers I got were flat and obviously past their expiration date. The avocados here suck and are overpriced.

Fresh produce, large meat selection, and friendly staff. Glad I live so close to this place! But if I didnt, they have plenty of parking in their garage.
