I love Aldi. Many items are made in Germany with natural ingredients. Prices are pretty good. They had a sale on almonds and walnuts for $5/lb. Organic milk is $2.50 a carton. And their organic bananas are always 50 cents a pound. Keep an eye out on other odd items. They are very good quality and cost less. Example: bike storage bag with tools for $5. Awesome all metal lemon juicer for $4. And very sturdy, rubber grill mat for $9. They even had a 4 burner stainless steel grill for $199 and electric smoker for $99. You get the idea. Aldi sells a lot of things you wouldnt expect to find there. Which is pretty neat. Have fun shopping!

Produce can be hella expensive. Way more expensive than your typical fresh market. The store layout is like your typical ALDI store. One thing I was confused about are the cashiers with carts. They put your items into this cart and youre supposed to take your items out from the cart. Why do you do this? I dont understand. Coming from Southern California, our ALDIs were like your typical grocery store and there was an area for you to bag up your stuff. Why does this ALDI not have that, but instead a cart? Lol I have no idea.

This kinda pertains to all of their stores and not just this one. I used to really like Aldis when i was a kid. Now that Im older the knock off products they sell really dont have the same taste or quality. I do like their frozen section, prices and clearance items. This particular Aldis sits on the site of a former Office Depot.

Aldis is my go-to for staple items. Plus they often have great speciality items (although you cant count on their availability). Im taking one star off because this location is an older one, so a bit smaller and getting well worn. Beware busy weekend times! There is a good chance youll run into lines of people with full carts.

This isnt my absolute favorite Aldis, but its my second favorite. Or its just the one I end up going to when the Oakton Aldis doesnt have what Im looking for. Regardless, you cannot go wrong with Aldis.

I usually go to the Aldi in Mount Prospect off Golf and I have to say this one has tons of more stuff. They have Ben & Jerry equivalent ice cream for about 1/3 the price!
