I DO live next door. The Victory has become the center of my universe. I honestly do not remember what I did before The Victory was here. We are 109 feet from door to door. The coffee is always excellent. Pastries are excellent. Service excellent. Stories superb and the chalkboards outside, LEGENDARY. Patrick, Allie, P and H, thank you for all you have done and continue to so for is. Thank you staff as well. CHEERS!

Strange place. Signage indicated that i should not use my cell phone. When i asked about the seasonal salad posted on the menu, a man at the counter (owner? chef?) began rambling on about how he had not yet created one and that i had reminded him to get started on it right away. Seems like the strange brainchild of an aged counterculture enthusiast. Not very welcoming or approachable. I left without ordering.

If coffees your vice of choice, The Victorys your Cheers. Everybody really does know your name here! Thats enough to impress me, but the espresso is prepared with finesse and care, the baked goods are delish, and the atmosphere makes it the perfect place to relax, sip a cuppa, grab a paper, and occasionally watch the world go by out the window.

Friendliest coffee shop in town, bar nun. Patrick, the owner, is always friendly and will greet you by name. The coffee is carefully constructed and delicious as well. The No Wi-Fi or phone calls policy makes an environment where people actually get to know each other. And theres great music. Come for the coffee- stay for the experience.

Everything Ive bought here has been excellent, and every item sold seems to have been thoughtfully selected by the owner. Its not common to see such painstaking care put into ingredients, atmosphere and service. There is a lot of love here, this place rules.

Lovely little neighborhood coffee shop. They make the best pour-over decaf and have delicious home-made syrups for spritzers in the summer. No cellphones allowed and no wireless access means you can actually have a conversation with your neighbor.

Theres no other cafe Id rather visit with a friend, business associate or with my family, enjoying something tasty and enjoying to gorgeous light. Great example of a business owner being himself and manifesting his vision for the world to enjoy.

Best vanilla lattes Ive had on the east side. I find when I get them other places theyre either too hot or it taste too much like vanilla or not enough expresso. But here they are perfect everytime pat does them.

I just stopped here quickly, and I cant speak to the coffee, but the staff was super-friendly and I had an absolutely fantastic vegetarian breakfast sandwich; all top notch ingredients. Really hit the spot.

Stopped in for some shaved ice, which was delicious, but also ran into one of the friendliest people we have ever met. Perhaps the owner?? Def. A must. Cant wait to try the coffee next time.

Preinfusion Syneso machine with bottomless portafilters, good espresso blend, great atmosphere and comortable seating. Cool little stools at the bar and big windows looking onto Atwood.

What more can really be said? Excellent coffee, good food, the staff is wonderful and very friendly. Its worth checking out if youre in the near vicinity (and if youre not).

Best vanilla latte in town. Small local coffee shop, fast and really nice staff!! Also, did I mention they use Colombian coffee beans from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta;)

Excellent coffee and a wonderful owner! Very small and intimate. It can get rather hot in there and a bit noisy so just be aware.
