Great place. Clean, well-kept, parking is handled well with the parking garages. Security guards on site. Good location. Stores are upscale, clean and usually staffed with good people that seem to enjoy working there. Has a new Apple store, which is great. Farmers Market on Saturdays. No aggressive panhandlers or drunk undergrads peeing on the sidewalk like downtown and State Street. Only two things could be improved; dump AMC and get a better theater like Alamo, iPic or Moviehouse and Eatery. Also, replace Pasquals with a better Madison restaurant like Graze, Sardine, Jacs or Taquiera Guadalajara that has actual good food and good customer service. Neither of those places live up to the quality and standards of Hilldale.

Never found any places that I needed to go to here in the first place, but now after they have redesigned the whole place, I find it even worse to get to the stores I want. I hate the outdoor look and feel, parking is a pain. And what stores are there, suck. This place offers nothing that you can not find at East or West Towne Mall. And the few stores I have shopped at, are WAY over priced. Guess you pay the price to shop at a place that is trying to be hip and trendy.

Too many good places to spend money at and good food to eat after a day of shopping. Personally, one of my favourite places to go to spend money, but if you were asking my husband he will probably say that it is one of the worst places for him :D I mean... Target, and North Face, Macys, Motherhood, a locally owned little cupcake place, Starbucks.... So much yes at Hilldale Shopping Center. BTW, their Christmas lights are adorable, check them out next Holliday season ;)

Very nice upscale unquestionably unique stores, Free people, Lush, Sperry. ..expensive, but beautiful presentation. Drawback ? Nearly all staff was rude, no greeting nor asked you if you needed help. Couldnt help but think they were prejudice against us...didnt look rich enough? It was snobbery vibe for sure. I made several purchases, clerks did not engage, seemed irritated, all under a hundred dollars...was it a factor? Return? Yes, with much trepidation.

We enjoyed this mall. We specifically went to Morgan Shoes which is why we even went there. Many upscale stores which included Macys. Ate at The Great Dane restaurant, my burger was nothing special but tasty. Good cheese curds. The Cubano was very good. Our waiter was not good only saw him 2xs, when he took our order and gave us our bill. Someone else brings out the food. There was a farmers market being held across the parking lot. Clean area

This is turning into quite a nice little upscale shopping mall, that isnt quite so little anymore. Some great food options including Dumpling Haus, some destination retail choices and one of only a handful of Robert Redfords Sundance Cinema theaters in the U.S. Parking can be a bit of chore, so I usually grab a spot in the back of Macys. Recently there, I saw some new expansion which bodes well for more options. Keeps me coming back.

Great selection of food (sushi, dumplings, pub food and beer, mexican, italian and more!) Movie theatre is great too. Lots of specialty shops and designer stores. Having a grocery and departments stores make it a great place for one-stop shopping and spending an afternoon. Outlet style, so be aware if there is bad weather. They do provide umbrellas free to use if it does rain!

A great Saturday Farmers Market from 7am-1pm through the first week of November. You can find everything you need for dinner, plus flowers, plants, cookies, baked goods, cheeses and meat for the freezer. Sugar River Farm is there every Saturday and has the best Grass-fed Beef Ive ever tasted. Plus incredibly tasty pork and chicken. Eggs sell out fast so come early!

Im from Madison and Hilldale has always been popular with the locals! Its recently undergone a big remodeling. It has a Sundance theater. It also has many great restaurants-Cafe Hollander (German, Western Europe, great beer & wine selection), Porta Alba (Italian), Pasquals (Tex Mex) and the list goes on. Lastly, many nice clothing, cosmetic and speciality stores.

Its a nice mall very close to our house. Its outdoor and very nice and easy to navigate. The mix of stores is pretty good. Theres a very nice farmers market there some days in the summer. Parking is only a little bit of a hassle. We like the movie theater, Metcalfes, sur la table, and the apple store here. Cafe Hollander is also a nice place.

Upscale Mall Experience. Still my favorite Mall in Madison. Its a smaller Mall but cleaner and a higher quality of stores and service. If offers a combination of outdoor and indoor store fronts. Wonderful place in the summer. Very family oriented. I highly recommend this shopping experience.

Nice stores, and a quality experience overall. Parking leaves a little to be desired (parking nearest the entrances can be a bit tight, and pedestrians everywhere doesnt make it any easier). Ramp parking is great however. A number of restaurants that offer good food for reasonable prices.

Great selection of stores and restaurants. Sundance cinemas is a great theater with some hard to find movies and good food and drink (including alcoholic beverages) selection. Currently under construction for the indoor section of the mall but most shops are accessible via outdoor access.

The best thing about this mall is Target. Macys selections are small and outdated. All the other small stores provide only high priced novelty and artisan items of good quality, but very little value for the price. Very cute mall for an evening out, but waste of time for real shopping.

This shopping center has come a long ways in the past 15 years, transitioning from a ghost town to a prestigious mall. It is always clean and the parking ramps allow for plenty of parking. This mall usually has the best Santa during the Holiday season; free and take your own pics.

I visit here every couple of weeks when I go grocery shopping at Target. Its like a small shopping village, with some stores accessible from inside as well. Some shops are a little more expensive for a college student like myself, but I do enjoy treating myself at Lush.

Love Sundance Cinema. Mostly why I go to Hilldale. The outside shopping is not my favorite. The mall is empty and I have to be outside in the elements to shop. I wonder how the shopkeepers like to shovel. Murimoto, DB Infusions, GiGis cupcakes. Love them all

Hilldale has a wide array of shopping centers - Sur La Table (a kitchen supply store), Lush Cosmetics (a bath/skin care shop), White House Black Market (WON-DER-FUL clothing store), as well as restaurants and Metcalfes for your food needs. Ill always shop here. ❤

Some interesting though over-priced stores, but a very unpleasant place to wander around and shop if it is hot, or cold, or windy, or raining, or snowing... far too often. Quick in and out for those few stores conveniently close to parking. Ignore the rest.
