Please, do NOT go to this "dealership". I purchased a vehicle from this establishment in February. a Dodge Magnum R/T 2005. We negotiated a price for the vehicle, and seeing how shady the place looked I negotiated that the same was contingent on a 24 hour mechanical and safety inspection and if there was any mechanical issue with the engine or transmissions totaling over $250 I could return the vehicle no questions asked. I got a "vehicle history report" from the salesman and he said it had been in 2 fender benders, nothing serious and no air bag deployments or frame damage. I put my payment down, with MY OWN FINANCING already all figured out, a backup financing contract was filled out for their protection as BECU was closed for the night and the money was to be sent to Parkland the following business day. I proceeded to get a mechanical inspection the following day. The mechanic I trust the most and has a proven history happens to work at a Honda Dealership. I took it to him. Multiple mechanical issues were found including excessive Blow By. For those of you who do not know what that is, it is when a piston ring is bad or failing, or perhaps the whole piston is shot. Replacing a piston in this engine and any engine is multiple THOUSANDS of dollars. I took it back with my inspection and immediately asked to be refunded and to take the vehicle back. Once I said that the whole mood changed. Not even back in the office and the finance guy says "Why would you take it to a Honda dealer? That is just weird right there" While we were still standing in the waiting room. We go back to his office and he starts getting really slimy. Claiming that excessive Blow By has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ENGINE AND IT IS COMPLETELY NORMAL. Everyone who remotely knows their way around an engine knows this is false. I tell him how much it would cost to replace and he says it has nothing to do with the engine again and REFUSES to take the vehicle back. Saying to me "Its your vehicle, I am not taking it back and if you dont get me my money Im running this back up contract we have and Ill be done with it" We "discussed" for a good 20 minutes before he just stood up and said "look I dont have time for this I have a job to do either take the $250 or Im gonna just run this back up contract and youll get nothing" I felt pretty much forced to take the $250 so I at least got SOMETHING out of the deal to put towards the repairs. Fast forward a week later and the vehicle is idling so rough its rocking the car back and forth visibly from the outside, guess what happened? YOU GOT IT! Piston #2 snapped right in half. I hadnt even driven it more than 20 miles yet as this was my back up vehicle. I take it to the Dodge dealership and of course they diagnose what I already suspected. Quoted me $4,120.00 for diagnoses, parts, and labor. After Dodge got really into it I got a call and he told me it was obviously ripped apart before and VERY poorly put back together, all the cylinder walls were gouged up and everything was numbered and nothing was torqued to spec, like an amateur used the car for a project. I figure I just bought the damn thing so I called Parkland Auto Center and they say "Cant do anything for you besides taking it to our "mechanic" and giving you his quote" Yeah... no thanks on that one. I had Dodge fix it, they did a great job and it ran fine afterwards. After this debacle I drove it for around 5 months and decided I just couldnt drive it anymore knowing the history of it. Heres where it gets REALLY good again. I go to trade it in at the VW Dealership and let him know it has been in 2 accidents prior to me owning it but I have no idea what kind of accidents. VW runs the report and digs a little deeper into it.Guess what they found? 2 accidents and BOTH had airbag deployments. They could not sell the vehicle at their lot. They would just have to send it to auction. I took it to a few places for quotes on what they could give me and all of the quotes were around the same. SO in total I am out $7,000 on this vehicle. DISHONEST!

I wouldnt even give this place a star, but I have to in order to post this. I thought after my last experience that maybe it was a fluke and I would give them a second chance. The first car we bought from them had a bad alternator and within a month we had to spend over 1000 dollars on a 2007 vehicle that we purchased in 2012. Granted I know used cars can have problems so I didnt blame it completely on them. Even though the loan process to get that car was a nightmare. However I went in with my son, to try and get him his first car loan, thinking they claim easy loan approval, and easy financing. Well my husband has since passed since purchasing my last car, and basically they treated me like I wasnt worth their time cause I didnt have a man with me. They made me wait and wait before finance came, then when he did come, he pretty much blew me off when he didnt feel my down payment was enough, I explained I could work with that, but he didnt care he just up and left. Then waited till I was out of the room to come back and tell my son there was nothing they could do to help him, not even try to crunch numbers for him, see if we could work with different options for his down payment, which they did with me and my husband. Nope just say so long see you. I never have been treated so dismissive in my life. As a widow of a veteran to be treated like this was disheartening especially as I am sruggling to be a good mom and show my kids that we can rebuild. However they treated us way different when my husband and I bought there even let us post date a check for my first car, that wasnt even an option for my son even though I was cosigning for him. Just rude. Way to push the stereotypes that women cant buy cars without men.

Through my own research I found out Parkland Auto Center had a manual Chevy Cruze in their inventory. I sent out an email through their website asking for more information on the car. I was hyped when I got a call back from Jason saying to come in and check it out. I was greeted very professionally at the front desk (always am) as I met my dealer. He grabbed me the set of keys, drove the car up to the front for me, let me inspect everything, and we went on a test drive. Everything checked out perfect and on the road we discussed business, politics, and life choices. This was the first car I mastered stick shift in so she felt right for me. Jason understood where I was coming from and did his best to help me in any way he could. So I went in and offered my down payment, thinking the vehicle was within my price range. I later found out, in order for the policy to grant me all time low payments I would need to finance a cheaper vehicle. Mind you, he gave me plenty of time to think long and hard about my decision and gave me plenty of options to choose from. I was dead set on the Cruze, but it was unrealistic for me to pay it off. I liked the sound of building my credit with a reliable 4-cylinder more than struggling to work off the turbo diesel. I eventually made my decision on an 04 Sentra with an extremely low interest rate. They let me choose the date in which I would have the complete down payment by and it worked out seamlessly. I enjoy commuting with it as it came with its own advantages as compared to the Cruze so Im not complaining. Overall I was satisfied with my purchase and the customer service.
