First of all you should know the location of this store is prone to the casual theft from random people off the street. I appreciate that employees may try to interact (sometimes too much) with the customers who are just browsing. You have to be realistic about their position and most people working in sales for a company as big as Best Buy. No employee wants to be accused of not helping some people but not others. If they try to give you a chance to browse, some may complain they are never being helped for various reasons. If they try to be more attentive and acknowledge your presence, they are now bothersome and accused of watching over you as if a criminal. What would prefer they do? Onto my experience which was very pleasant. Sure, many of the staff are pretty young and that already has a stigma attached. While in the Magnolia section one of the staff tried to answer a question about technical specs of a speaker. After trying to get an answer, he politely told me he didnt know the answer but would find someone there who would have the answer. I appreciated his honesty and respected his maturity in trying to resolve my issue. I was casually greeted as if I were a regular there. Sam and Gabe tirelessly made sure my cell phone screen protector had no dust particles between the screen & the protector. During the installation process, which took a while (NOT due to their skills), we all had interesting and informative discussions. At no point did I feel rushed or a burden because it was already after 9pm. They took their time and got it right! I had to return a product today. Again, I was greeted and not treated like a criminal. Alex was so awesome in handling the return. She didnt try to sell me a more expensive product and was very confident. She was quick in getting my issue resolved and she treated me like a person, not a sale. Good job Best Buy - Tacoma! I look forward to my next visit. I highly recommend no matter where you go, a bad experience with one person isnt necessarily representative of the entire store. Theres always a positive experience waiting to happen. Would you dislike someones entire family just because one individual is not the model citizen? No. So just give them a chance.

About 10 years ago, Best Buy used to be a decent place to go for CDs, DVDs, video games, and digital cameras and gadgets. Their computer prices have never been good, as well as TVs and stuff. But in recent years, their selections have declined, their service declined, and their resonible prices are no longer reasonible. Last christmas I went to this store to get a digital camera for my wife. They had a special on some Cannon ones. I did the buy it online thing so I could pick it up in store. Once I got confirmation I headed out to pick it up. When I got there, I waited a good 30 minuts at the counter before someone helped me... what a time saver! (There was no one at the counter). Finally a lady came up to the counter to help. She went and got the camera that I had bought and brought it to the counter. Just as I was about to walk away from the counter I happened to take a look at the box. It WAS NOT the right camera. It was a Cannon but a lesser model than what I had bought. I called the lady back to the counter. Long story short.. After "arguing" with the lady about it for another 20 minuts, she finally realized it was not the right camera. So she went back to the camera department and found out that they were out of the camera I had paid for! She came back and offered to sell me the lesser one at its regular price. I said no, I need one better than this. She then offered to sell me higher end one for its regulare price... what a deal! right?

Horrible, horrific, uninformed, technically challenged and just plain bad. Bout a $400 Sharp Roku TV for the purpose to get NETFLIX. Regardless of the NETFLX logo on the box and one the remote, it doesnt work. 19 calls to Netflix, Comcast and Roku - doesnt work. Roku said they were getting a heap of calls on the same issue. My network (Comcast) checked out and verified using the Roku TY in all 3 categories. Roku Tech guy said "Need to make some minor changes in the Security Type and the Wireless Channel. Called Comcast made the changes - STILL DOESNT WORK. It was already set on channel 3. Bout TV at 12:00 noon today stopped frustrating our selves at 4:15 PM today. Taking it back tomorrow, getting money back, buying a VISIO - that actually does work with NETFLIX and Comcast (Smart TV). We have one of those already and it took 3 minutes to get NETFLIX. Nightmare, the day after Christmas! Thank you COMACAST, ROKU and NETFLIX. Maybe NETFLIX should be a little more careful about lending their logo to a product that does not work. Maybe Best Buy should send them all back, and maybe Comcast could be more cooperative and stop pretending that they made Security Type changes using a different sequence than you gave them. Caught them on that, so they made it right - STILL DID NOT WORK! Merry Christmas everybody! :=(

Tacoma Police bs! I have sent in a public request for information already. I would like you address the following concern. On Aug 4th, I went to the Best Buy by the Tacoma Mall. I witnessed a police car parked in the fire lane of the Best Buy. I figured the cops were there to arrest a shoplifter or something. After seeing the Police Officer sitting in a chair at the door for more than an hour, on her cell phone and yucking it up with staff. I called a manager over asked what was going on. The manager informed me that officer was there as private security. My question then was who was paying for the taxpayer supported police vehicle that is being used as an intimidation method that was parked beside the front door. Both the officer and the manager were unable to give me that information. So precisely who is paying for the use of taxpayer supported police cars when the police use them on private security jobs? Are you cool with private companies using your tax dollars to benefit their profit margin? Are you cool with private firms using our local police force as an intimidation method? Are you cool with companies who take money from a community but are not allies with that community?

i just spent just over 45 minutes in this tacoma, wa store. in those 45 minutes i was trying to purchase the samsung 42" tv for $649.00, four sales associates walked by me and said nothing...i went to the checkout counter over in tv section and told the sales associate standing there i would like to purchase a tv but he was helping someone else and said he would help me in a "minute"; in the meantime he asked two other people if they could help me and they declined. i continued standing in the tv section, out in the open, i wasnt trying to hide, i was directly behind where the "minute man" was standing, he proceeded to help five other customers before finally acknowledging me and coming to help me. after these 45 minutes i finally found out they didnt even have the damn tv in stock!!! is it because i am a woman and we are not typically big tv consumers, so they just neglect to help us? in the last 6months i have purchased two laptops, nintendo ds, and gps system from them. i used to be an avid best buy supporter until now! i will be sure to spread the word on your crap service!
