Worst shopping experience ever. they use a bait and switch deal where they offer you gift cards if you purchase a certain amount 399 gives you 50.00 gift card. when buying nursery furniture. we picked out a crib and a changing table, 350.00 oh but the mattress aint included no problem with the mattress would put us over the 399 mark to qualify for the gift card but guess what mattress are excluded so we decided to buy the bassinet early as well nope excluded (even though the ad states excludes gliders, ottomans,mattress and crib pads) ok so now they are claiming that a bassinet is classified as a stroller not furniture. ok so we said here that little diaper chest/ toy box that matches the crip and changing table would look good but again guess what now they saying thats not nursery furniture its toddler furniture even though the tag clearly states nursery. this continued on till they forced us into a hirer priced crib set. when called customer service about the managers completely rude and uncalled for attitude they offered us a 10 dollar gift card for our 3 hours of hassle. well thanks but what does 10 bucks do in your over priced store and if i try to use it im sure ill be told that item is excluded from the offer. We still have a few thousand to spend on baby items im sure but from now on im ordering everything from the internet where i expect poor customer service.

Easy Return Policy??? Are You JOKING??? Every time I go to this store I have issues. Once was for a registry return that took nearly 45 minutes, with my 3 mo old in tow! Once I was double charged for an item and was made to go to the dreaded returns line to fix it... another 30 min + fiasco, resutling in them trying to give me STORE CREDIT, for an item I was JUST double charged for. THEN I was shorted $ when they only gave me the amount back on the one that was rung up with the coupon I had, not the one (without the coupon that I was double charged for). Another return was my first after having my baby... and the gift receipt was dated 3mo 2 weeks previous... yes my baby shower 2 mo prior to birth + new baby + BRU 15 mi from my house = not able to return any sooner, and they would not accept the return because it had "been too long". They finally did accept it after a frustrating chat with a manager. HATE THIS STORE. NOT parent/baby friendly. Youd think a store that caters to new mothers would be extra flexible, and not make mothers with babies in arms stand in long return lines and give them a bunch of hassle. APPARENTLY NOT!

I am not sure why there are so many bad reviews on here for both the Babies R us and Toys R Us in the Tacoma. I have had nothing but great experiences BOTH times I have gone. First time I had to return a carseat that my mother had bought me, I had no receipt only the box and packaging, I was worried that I wouldnt get my money back to get one that fit her correctly. Luckily I didnt have ANY issues, they were fast, convenient, and quick. Got store credit that I bought my daughters new seat with. The second time was just recently I had done a "in store pick up" for my Online Orders, (from my Carseat Merchandise Credit) two of my three items were in stock the other one was not in stock at the Toys R Us but the Babies R Us, they actually had someone bring my third Item OVER to the Toys R Us so I could do a easy pick up and only have to stop once instead of two trips. I dont think I have ever had better costumer service at any store! Will go back over and over again! Wonderful service!!! Dont hesitate to go to these stores;they are better then the ones in Olympia and Puyallup.

Yesterday we bought a baby "tea for me saucer" for our baby when we opened it we found dried food a filthy seat crumbs all over and it was gross!!! All the small toys were thrown into the bottom of the box with food and fingerprints. When we called today it was as if they did not believe us. The manger told us to bring it in and and prove to her it was used, which is understandable but she was slightly rude and did not apologize. We bought it to use that day and did not have time to return it. We should of not had to, if they inspected returns to make sure they we still unused we wold not have to go through this. I have bought several hundred dollars of things from this store before, but not anymore!!!! I will take my money to a place where they care enough to check their returns. This could of been used by another ill child and could spread germs. Little babies this age put everything in their mouths and could get sick! Poor management and poor customer service!!!! If you buy from here make sure its not used!!!!!

I did a ship to store for my Glider - We picked it up, box was damaged, but what we could see through the damaged area there was no issue with the actual furniture... Until we got it home and found the back was severely cracked. A quick call to the store, Arial re-ordered it without a bit of hesitation. I didnt ask for anything because things happen in transit, I get that... But as I was being told that it would be re-ordered I was also told that they would be discounting the replacement as compensation for our trouble. Because it was a ship to store and I used PayPal, it was a little time consuming to return it, get the refund and repurchase the new one with discount, but Sherri (Sherry?) was so wonderful about it, her and the other associates were so friendly and funny though out the process! They didnt say word one when we opened it just to ensure that everything was in one piece - Absolutely a place that I would shop again!

I have been going to this store for about a year and a half (including the successful completion of two baby registries with them, in store ordering and online purchases) and have never had an issue! The customer service staff is always friendly, ask if you need help when they walk by you and the products they offer are great! I recently had to go to Walmart to return a baby gift someone bought me (I try to avoid Walmart at all costs) and I forgot how rude Walmart associates are! It was a great reminder of how much I appreciate the Tacoma Babies R Us store and grateful I am for their employees! Keep up the wonderful work!!

Before today I loved babies r us, especially this one, I even gave them 5 stars. I have been going here 1-4 times a month for the past 3 years but not anymore. Not every visit was perfect, I mean people have off days and are not always in a good mood, but lying and saying you cant do something because you are too lazy to put forth any effort is not ok. I will not be going back here again, I will buy my diapers on amazon and will encourage everyone I know to do the same. I even debated returning everything I bought this afternoon but will settle for this.
