We bought our Benjamin Moore paint at this store because the online reviews for the Seattle Paint Store (another northend location we could have easily gone to) were so poor regarding service. Well, service was poor at this location too - but not because of rudeness like the other. I was *undersold* on paint quantity, at the advice of the store manager. I told him the square footage needed to cover for each color, and he recommended only a quart of each color - instead of the gallon or two we actually needed! This meant I had to go back to the store *twice* to get more paint, and ultimately, buying it in quart cans instead of gallon cans meant I spent more money in the end. On my last visit to the store I complained, and he gave me a 15% discount on my final quarts of paint: $4.80. This, after I figure I spent almost $200 too much than if he had told me the right amount to get in the first place. I will never shop there again.

I loved the old location on 45th which allowed ample room for stepping back and browsing. You have to really crank your neck in this new location. It is very difficult to know what is in each aisle. I have never been offered assistance in the new store. Usually the same two characters stand behind the desk waiting to be approached. I get unenthusiastic help when I ask for something specific. I do think they know their products but getting the info is a chore. I will continue to come by for small products since it is my neighborhood store. I worry about the stores future.

I ordered something online and it wasnt the right item. I was going to return it online, but the website said to return things at a retail location. I went to this store and what appeared to be the manager refused because it was "a whole different process", it was 15 minutes from closing time and he was on the phone. Quality service, Ace Hardware, quality service.

I have NEVER had impolitie service, and often have the sales people while in the isles, ask me if they can help find something. Their advice is usually sound, and seldom can I not find what I want. Its an amazing little store.

Fairly limited selection compared to larger stores, but theyll likely have what you need and their selection of hardware fasteners is excellent. Everyone Ive met in the store has been very helpful.

Mike, co-owner apparently, is very rude and not helpful. All the other staff rock though and are very nice. Prices are above other stores on most items, overall its ok.

Small store but pretty good pricing. the staff is menimal so it might take a minute to get out the door.
